Competitor Analysis4
Why China?
 The retail financial market is becoming highly competitive and it’s becoming
more challenging to differentiate a brand based on product, feature or Price.
 The massive population and status as the world’s second largest economy
has been a prime market for many FX brokers in recent years. China is a
land of opportunity, where Kawase unlock their growth potential and capture
above average profit margin through Mobile trading terminal.
 China has the world’s largest Internet network following or net citizenry. It is
extensive all over the country. 90% people access the internet through
Mobile.
China internet finance rises, However, trading spot FX and CFDs is not
regulated nor licensed in China, therefore, brokers only set up representative
offices in China. Traders need to transfer the money abroad to the official
brokerage company with who trading is done and the local offices only offer
support and training.
Rational
The Chinese internet market expanded 6.2 per cent in 2016, gaining 43 million
internet users. Local players won the top spot in all main internet sector Baidu
(Search engin), QQ (IM)and Wechat enjoy a strong lead in their sector in
terms of market (Social media)
 China Internet finance rises, By the end of 2015, the overall market size of
China Internet finance has reached 12 to15 trillion RMB (nearly 20% of GDP),
and user numbers, at~500 million, have reached number one in the world.
(Moblie Trading)
Chinese traditionally favor very personal services from a known and trusted
source when making purchases. this would normally take the form of a bricks
and mortar presence and a face-to-face conversation, a dedicated account
manager via telephone is common (24 hours CS via Wechat/QQ ), Refer a
Friend program is needed.
 Chinese retail investors have been the key drivers of activity in the equities
markets, offering Chinese A Share price feed + Trading through a local broker

Threat: Capital Control in China
• Chinese citizens are limited to exporting US$50,000 per person, per
year.
• 2017, the PBoC and the State Administration of Foreign Exchange
(SAFE) created additional rules to stop the outflow, banks are required
to report transfers over ¥200,000 (US$29,000), and you’re no longer
allowed to “lend” your allowance.
• the new rules strictly prohibit export of capital for buying bonds,
“insurance-type” products, and real estate.

Political
An open, supportive regulatory environment
As early as in 2013, the People’s Bank of China explicitly expressed support for tech companies to promote Internet finance;
The regulators have not made the exact regulations clear on the status of margin FX as a tradable asset class for retail and
institutional investors.
At the same time, some unexposed risks and uncertainties attention, include costumer irrationality and fraudulent activity. due to
an increasing exposure to risks triggered by a growing number of financial products, China’s regulatory authorities are determined
to strength the management of internet finance, aiming at promoting the establishment of good market order and the health
development of the industry.
With the release of detailed laws and regulations and the increasing maturity/rationality of consumers, China’s internet finance
industry will inevitably embrace fiercer competition

Infrastructure road blocks- the issues with online
connectivity in China.
The internet in China is censored by the
government and the “Great Firewall of China”
filters all traffic exchanged online with the outside
world, Due to the firewall, transmission in China
can be 100 times slower compared with transfers
in Europe
The Chinese list “performance” as a top priority
when deciding on a broker, so finding ways to
stabilize and speed up your network despite the
barrier is critical.
