Child's Play 3 follows Andy Barclay as he attends military school, where the doll Chucky is resurrected and goes after Andy for revenge. Chucky slashes his way through a string of gruesome murders as Andy tries to stop the homicidal doll. The film was controversially linked to the 1993 murder of James Bulger by two 10-year old boys, who were said to have imitated a scene from the movie during the killing.

3. The Plot
• It’s been a year since Chucky, the doll with the soul and
the voice (Brad Dourif) of a psychopathic killer, was
apparently destroyed in a fire at a doll factory. Now
Chucky’s manufacturer is remaking the same line of toys
with the old, still haunted materials. This resurrects
Chucky, who goes after Andy (Justin Whalin), his former
owner, who now attends military school. Chucky slashes
his way though a string of grotesque murders as Andy
tries to stop the homicidal doll and the spirit within.

4. James Bulger
• The film also had some controversy because it has been
indirectly linked to the brutal murder of James Bulger.
• The killers, who were 10 years old at the time, were said to
have imitated a scene in which one of Chucky’s victims is
splashed with blue paint.
• James Bulger (aged 2) was abducted, tortured and murdered by
two ten year old boys, Robert Thompson and Jon Venables.
• James was taken from the New Strand Shopping Centre in
Bootle, whilst with his mother on February 12th 1993.
• James was murdered later on the same day.
