10. Elements of Art
• Many Elements of art can be found in the
sculpture CHILD. But the 3 main Elements of
art that can be seen in the sculpture are:
• Line
• Texture
• Shape
11. Line
• In the sculpture their is a lot of implied lines
that border the entire sculpture. They help to
define the background and to also define the
sculpture as a whole.
• Implied lines are the reason we can see the
many geometrical shapes that can be seen in
the sculpture.
12. Texture
• The sculpture clearly has some texture on its
surface which adds physical and visual
properties to the sculpture.
13. Shape
• The sculpture is a 3 dimensional shape(real
3-d shape) that include a lot of geometrical
shapes like triangles, rectangles, squares and
circles.
• The sculpture also has mass and volume that
help define the sculpture.
15. Balance
In this work (Child) we can see :
Asymmetrical Balance
1st Head: left side not equal to the
right side
2nd Eyes : Left eye bigger than the right
3rd body: right shoulder bigger/
higher than
the left one
