Building websites has gone from a technical service to one that serves to solve well-defined business problems. Gone are the days when everyone had to have a website only because it was expected. Today customers pay for a reason and for end results. Problem is, most web shops keep selling technical solutions to match feature-oriented requirements, never taking results or business goals, into consideration. As a result, shops are relegated to being specialist subcontractors and it results in projects rarely generating the kind of impact that is expected.
The shift to focusing on results is necessary to beat this trend of failed expectations. Turning from "to the letter requirements"-driven web development to result-only web investments generating tangible benefits may seem like a big leap, but brings advantages to both buyers and sellers. It fosters a culture of unified teamwork across all parties and takes away many of the causes for seller–buyer distrust.
In this talk I will show you how to take the step from focusing on fulfilling irrelevant requirements to talking results with your customers and increasing your customer satisfaction and team happiness at the same time.

Already you are exhausted with the work that goes into getting a business started and on top of that there is this need of preparing a proposal. Surely! This seems to be a hard thing to gulp down the throat easily. So probably what are the options that you could look at? The number of websites that you’ll see over the Net, offering that could be customized, is huge.

Are you thinking about becoming a freelancer? Or are you already one? This session will offer you some hard-learned advice, some tips and tricks from the trenches and some insights into the life of a freelancer.
This presentation was originally made at the 2016 Association of American University Presses Annual Meeting, 17 June 2016. It discusses both why and how to effectively hire consultants. The slides were developed by my colleague Pam Harley who originally was scheduled to give this talk.

I love creating unique, innovative and potent work that

Everything that a brand shows or represents is meant to
impact a user. Knowing the user is one of the Most important
things in design, because if there is no user there is no point
in design at all.
I aim to put the user in the center of what I do, or put into
simpler words - We understand the customer and then design
things that will help the customer understand us.
“A brand is a
person's gut feeling
about a product,
service, or
organization.”

The next important thing about design is that it is an
Investment. Investment in a brand’s expression of self.
What does that even mean?
It means it cost money so it better make money.
So, I have the following approach:
-Know the brand
-Know the user
-Set Goals
-Deliver Exquisitely
11. Twenty22
THE
PROCESS
Or how does it all work?
Step 1: Preliminary consultation
In this preliminary consultation
we will discuss details about the
project such as scope, budget,
preliminary goals and
preliminary direction.
We will also agree on a fee for
the project.
We will also set a time and
scope for the Strategy session if
it is needed for the project
Step 2: Research
I will go all out to find out
everything I need to know about
your brand and its competitors
and find suitable preliminary
Strategies and graphic
directions that we are going to
discuss during the strategy
session
Step 3: Strategy Session
The Strategy session usually
takes between 2 and 4 hours.
Sometimes be multiple sessions
might be needed to ensure
exquisite results.
We will explore in depth brand
strategy, project goals and set
timelines and procedures for the
project and delivery
Step 4: Creative Direction
After the Strategy session there will
be another meeting regarding
creative direction.
In which I will present you with a
few different creative paths that we
can take for the project and we will
come to a decision to ensure a
final delivery that is both effective
and visually pleasing.
Step 5: Feedback & Delivery
In this Step we will discuss the
final product, fix any final
problems that might potentially
arise and finish with the delivery
of the project.
