The protagonist is the main character, it
revolves around a young innocent girl, around
the age of eleven, who storms out of her house
in a mood with her parents, in order to clear her
head, she goes for a walk in the woods where
she is brutally abducted and then attacked by
the antagonist, resulting in her death…
However karma comes back around when she
haunts her murderer.
The male character, acts as the murderer in the
play, after his wife has left him taking their new
born child, over come with jealousy he decides
that no other parent can endure the happiness
of a child, and he sets up a long line of children
in which he kills, the movie focus’s on one girl in
particular, in whom he abducts and murders. He
then gets haunted by the girl’s ghostly figure,
but is it her, or is he hallucinating?
The Girl
The girl is a young eleven year old girl, in
whom is to be portrayed as the
protagonist within the trailer. As an
audience we are supposed to sympathise
with her, and be on her side. I have
portrayed innocence in her through the
use of costume and the mis en scene the
surrounds her when she is in her own
“home” environment. The trailer and film
will revolve around her and the
questioning into whether she has died or
not as a consequence of the antagonists
unruly actions, which have been designed
to shock the audience . We as an audience
are supposed to see the trailer from her
           point of view.
The Antagonist (Murderer?)
The Antagonist in the trailer is the one in whom
the audience are supposed to create a sense of
suspicion with, this should be inevitable from the
moment we look at him, through his dark clothing
that portrays a sinister side to him. As an audience
we are not supposed to take a liking to this
character, but instead have a sense of hatred
towards him, as he keeps us on the edge of our
seats, wanting to know what gruelling thing he
will commit next. I have taken gender into
consideration when considering this role, and
have chosen a male, as they are conveyed as the
more domineering specie, and it will make the
young girl appear even more vulnerable, creating
a greater sense of horror within the film trailer.
