When looking at a name for our protagonist , we decided we wanted
to choose a common middle class name to make the t railer more
generalizable to our audience. This will make the t railer scarier because
it will be ‘closer t o home’ and will relat e more t o t he viewers.
On the chart s for the last 5 years Madison has been a popular name,
the abbreviat ion of this is Maddie, however we felt the longer version
madeleine has a more horror effect .

Ideas: When looking into different 13-year-old girls, the out fit focus is
oft en on cut e day dresses, considering it is Maddie’s birt hday we will
use this aspect . We will look into charity shops, to find young colourful
dresses that we can use for Maddie.
Hairstyles:
We want a hairstyle, which represent s the correct age frame. The first
picture we have included is a plait something we thought would be
appropriat e for a child’s birt hday part y. The second pict ure we have
included is of a basic ponytail as we thought it would be nice to keep it
basic to make it realist ic as possible. We found out through our
research that the most common hairstyle worn by 13 year olds is a
ponytail.
