5.1 Conclusion
In the last four months my stay at IPCOM technologies I have acquired much knowledge which
are both practical and professional. And I have got chance to apply what I have been taught for
four years of my stay at Addis Ababa Science and Technology company. Since we have been on
different sites, I was exposed to latest technologies like cloud computing and different IT
equipment’s that let me know to have the know how of the current trend. I understand the need
for more storage and secure technology is leading the world to implement virtualization desktop
infrastructure. The knowledge I got is beyond my expectation that changed the perspective of
how I see the technology. I have got to meet new people with new problem-solving skill that
helped me to re shape my future career life. From the internship experience, I am able to install
the networking devices. So, this all things that I was working with the professional workers in
the office is what I got from this program. And the benefit I got here is it answered question of
“How can I be professional communication engineer?” So, I gained knowledge, skills and
experience from different company workers and international experts. Besides of technical,
practical and theoretical knowledge, I gained experiences in real life work. In general, I
developed good confidence that will make me familiar to the work place after graduation. And
also, the internship experience has helped me to: Upgrade my theoretical knowledge and
visualizations. Upgrading my ability to be creative, confident and take risks in my future
professional career. Generally, this internship program played a wonderful role in preparing me
as student, with the practical knowledge of communication engineering. And it helped me to
develop self-confidence and introduced me to the world of networking. Finally, I would like to
thank IPCOM technologies trading company for they helped me to get experience in every angle.
5.2 Recommendation
Though IPCOM technologies is experienced company with its past works, It took them many
years to be what they are today. I can fully say that I have been benefited something from the
company. Even though, the company is known by its strength, during my stay with the company
I have observed certain weaknesses which needs to be improved for better future of company.
The first thing is that most of work load are on shoulders of certain employees. Since they are
few they will try to reach every corner of the work that will make them to be exhausted most of
the time. The top-level employees work all design, implementation, documentation, support and
training by themselves in addition to finding requirement analysis for different bids. That’s why
they work day and night even on weekends and holidays. The work they do must be specific to
simplify and make things easier. The other weakness I observed is since the employees work all
of the time they fail to have time to read and improve themselves that must be improved for
future improvement.
