Chapter 12

1) The narrator uses their Kakuna against Falkner's Hoothoot in a gym battle. 2) Despite taking damage from Hoothoot's attacks, Kakuna is able to stall by using Harden and survives long enough for Hoothoot to faint from poison damage. 3) After defeating Hoothoot, Kakuna evolves into Beedrill during the battle. Beedrill is then defeated by Falkner's Pidgeotto, leaving the narrator to use Aipom for the final battle.
