Chapter 6 - Revelations

He smiled, as he flicked a switch and the bright television screen faded to black. He quickly looked down
to an open book, on his pine-wood desk, and smiled. Abstract shapes were drawn across its yellowish
pages, with ancient runes, and other strange writing. He carefully folded the pages, back into the spine, and
leant back on his chair, placing it back on the bookshelf behind him.

He smiled, at his sleeping Pokemon. Her red eyes lay soft and closed, as her pale lay softly snoring to his
left. She stirred slightly, as a quiet knock came across the door opposite the desk. “Come in” he quietly
whispered. The door opened fractionally, and a face popped through the crack. Blue beady eyes stared into
his, and the man behind the desk slowly pushed his finger to his pale lips. The owner of the blue
eyesentered the room, the door creaking closed behind him. “Quiet, he’s sleeping. I assume you have it?"
the man behind the desk asked, leaning forward, his elbows onto the pine. He watched as the man who had
entered the room sat down opposite him. He ran his delicate hands through his silver, wispy hair, and
nodded. "Good, where is it?" He asked. The older man reached down to his pocket, and pulled out a
circular rock, with a letter, and an abstract image engraved onto the top face. He carefully placed it face-up
on the desk, and watched as the man opposite him just stared at it. "Gordor, do you know how long I've
looked for this?"

Gordor shook his head, and the younger man wrapped his hands carefully around the surface of the stone. It
felt cold on his skin, and the engraved grooves felt incredibly smooth against his fingers. "I've searched
Johto, Sinnoh and Kanto for this."
"Well, I didn't expect to find it in Fiore in all honesty sir," Gordor nodded, acknowledging the hard work
his boss had put in, searching for this rock.
"Yes, well it doesn't matter now, we have it" He smiled, turning the rock in his hands.
"With all respect sir, how do you know if it is actually a fossil?" Gordor asked, hoping that his search
through Fiore for the rock had not been in vain.
"This book," the man smiled, leaning back on his emerald chair, and stretching towards his bookshelf.
From the dark hazel shelf, he pulled an old blue book. The spine was inlayed with a gold pattern, and was
torn and ripped with age. "Sir?" Gordor asked. He opened it on the desk, and spun it around so that Gordor
could read it. He ran his fingers along the thin, weak pages, the edges crisp. He read the small print, line by
line, his elderly eyes struggling with the font size. "Sir, with respect, this book does refer to the rock, but
not in the location in Fiore" Gordor noticed. "That's true, but carry on reading."

Gordor did as he was asked. "-left in the center of a vast jungle, within a tower of stone" Gordor read.
"Exactly," the man nodded. A knock came from the door, and both mens eyes shot up from the stained
pages, and turned to face the door. "Come in."
A young man entered the room, and blinked, his dark azure eyes behind black thick rimmed glasses. "Sorry
to bother you both, we have some news in relation to the Elan Machinery," He said. His voice was rich, yet
soft, careful not to wake his boss' sleeping Pokemon. "Is it urgent?" Gordor asked.
"No sir, just that the Elan Machinery has just passed a series of tests. We will probably test an Aerodactyl
fossil within the next hour, and see the results from there."
"Good, thank you" Gordor smiled. The young man nodded, and closed the door behind him.

"So, within two hours, the Pokemon locked within this fossil could be back, walking the planet" Gordor
thought.
"Well, more probably floating" his boss intervined. Gordor laughed, and smiled. He watched as his boss
glared down at the fossil, and ran his soft hands, across his dark grey stubble.
"What do you know of them Gordor?" He asked.
"Of Mew?" Gordor replied, and watched his boss nod. "I know probably as much as most of the population
do. Mew were apparently intelligent, and curious Pokemon that were apparently able to become invisible at
will" Gordor said, racking his brain for more information on the incredibly rare legendary Pokemon. "Yes,
but there's something else that not many people do now about Mew" said his boss.
"What?" Gordor asked, leaning closer to hear his words.

"Mew is said to contain the DNA of every Pokemon, and is capable of wielding every possible attack."
Gordor fell back into his chair, and exhaled in awe. A Pokemon so powerful, so rare, and so unique seemed
unbelievable to his strict, and set mind. "Look, I know you have searched for a long time for this, but there
are still problems, even if we do revive Mew" Gordor said. "Problems, such as?"

"Well if you do revive Mew, how do you plan to control it? What do you actually plan to do with it?"
Gordor asked, trying to prise more information from his secretive leader.

"Look, Gordor, you've done well to find this for me, and once we have Mew floating around by our side,
I'll explain what the long-term objective is"

"Right, well, I'll see you down in the Laboratory for the test, sir" Gordor said, leaving his seat.

"Thank you Gordor, and for the last time, you're older than me, and are my deputy in this organisation, you
don't need to call me Sir. Now, the amateurs downstairs, who run around being petty criminals, they should
call us sir" He laughed, his hazel eyes following his colleague, as he headed for the door.

"Well, thanks, Giovanni" Gordor nodded, his hand wrapping around the circular doorknob.

"No, thank you Gordor, I'll see you downstairs."

ooc: A little bit of my long-term storyline for the 'BADDIES!' is becoming clearer, but still, even with Mew
involved, you won't be able to guess what other legendaries are involved ;) Anyway, I hope that was a good
read. My next chapter will go back to Megan and Daniel in Viridian Forest, but will probably be a filler.
