Some Design Considerations
First Principles

•   Change is most effective when
     – It impacts more people (width)
     – The quality of the change is deep and lasting (depth)

•   Change should be measured
     – To track its effectiveness
     – To ‘evolve’ the change intervention itself

•   Change has a process dimension which can be
     – One time change, which is a ‘As-is, To-be’ definition
     – Continuous change, which has a ‘direction’ definition
Goal related questions

•   Width related
     – How many people are affected
     – Who are the people affected
     – What is the ‘Multiplier’ Effect

•   Depth related
     – What is the ‘as-is’ and the ‘to-be’
     – How rapidly does the change process continue
     – What happens as a result of the change
