STEP 1. PREPARE
In most properties, the room attendant’s workday begins in the linen
room- “The headquarters of the housekeeping department”
This is where the employee:
•Reports to work
•Pre-shift meeting where they receive room
assignments, keys & room status reports
•Prepares for the workday by assembling
and organizing the supplies that are
necessary for cleaning onto their carts
•Checks out at the end of his or her shift.

THE HAND CADDY
Typical Items in the Caddy

In most cases, the cleaning supplies for guest and bathrooms are in a hand
caddy on top of the cart so the room attendant does not have to bring the
