South Valley Health Commons Campus in Albuquerque and in Edgewood, NM, through a
partnership with the City of Edgewood as well as other strategic relationships. Assisted with the

Director of Community Engagement & Student Recruitment Strategist
at ACE Leadership High School | 2011 - 2013
Implemented structure and process to partnership building and conducted monthly professional
training for staff to increase the integration of community engagement practices in the classroom
and throughout the school.
Designed a highly customized bilingual recruitment strategy targeting at risk and of color youth
that tripled student enrollment in three months resulting in an increase of $1.5M to the annual
2011-2012 operating budget; raised an additional $2.5M for the 2012-2013 school year.
Established a joint venture with the City of Albuquerque Mayor's Office to have students

employability. Over 50 students were placed, mentored and received a City of Albuquerque
education stipend.

Community Day" where 250+ students, 30 staff members, architects, project managers, and
neighbors came together for one day to design and assemble 38 raised garden beds, 6 of which
were handicap accessible, cleaned out a historic arroyo, and planted 36 fruit and shade trees on
the Sawmill Community Land Trust in the Sawmill Neighborhood.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzp5sqrENcI.
Created a partnership with the US Fish & Wildlife Service to create a classroom program for
students to work in collaboration with the federal agency's engineers to design and build bridges

marketing reach by integrating an aggressive public relations, social media, and online community
engagement component to the Institute's traditional marketing strategy. This resulted in the
highest ever grossing season in ten years for Yjastros: the American Flamenco Repertory Company
in Spring 2011 as well as the first sold out festival performance season for Festival Flamenco
Internacional de Alburquerque in over 20 years of it existence.
