CentreLearn EMS CE Webinar: Pediatric Ingestions
Accidental pediatric ingestions are problematic throughout the year, but may occur more frequently
around the holidays. This interactive presentation from paramedic and educator Kyle David Bates will
review pediatric assessment, history gathering, and treatment of the poisoned child. Kyle will also discuss
injury prevention techniques that you can employ so this scenario doesn’t happen, in addition to the
following:

1. Use a pediatric assessment tool; identify the physiological status of the child.
2. Identify common medications and their symptoms of ingestion.
3. Discuss treatment priorities in the child poisoned as the result of medication ingestions.
