It combines the benefits of new technologies for data collecting and processing with the latest methods of data transmission through wireless networks. It enables real-time measurement and logging of pressure, temperature, battery level, any three physical quantities (processed to a standard 4÷20[mA] electrical signal), or the state of 3 bi-state inputs.
7. Owing to its compact design and rich configuration options, CellBOX-H/Hydrant has gained a reputation of an excellent tool facilitating the daily operation of complexwater supply networks. Waterproof IP68 housing made of stainless steel andluminiumprovides application flexibility, enabling easy mounting direct in normalizedunderground hydrant fangs or in any measuring point, thanks to additional 2”threaded coupling. Thanks to internal non-volatile FLASH memory and built-inpressure (optional) and temperature transducers, device performs measurements and registration autonomously. We offer preconfigured SIM cards in the private APN cellbox.pl and provide management service as well. We offer access to the measurement data via the Internet (any standard WWW browser). We ensure safety at every stage of transmission: IPSec tunnels with 3DES encryption for connections with customers servers and SSL protocol for WWW access. The built-in LCD screen displays the current status of all the measured parameters. For the version of the recorder equipped with an optional GSM / GPRS modem, in addition to local data recording, it is possible to automatically transfer measurement results to the dispatch center. Data transmission via GPRS can be carried out in private APN networks which provide permanent IP numbers, or in public ones, where IP numbers are assigned in a dynamic way. The internal battery pack ensures operation of about 5 years, with data registration every 15 min. or less. To prolong its life in the GSM/GPRS mode (option with GSM/GPRS module) it is recommended that an external power supply should be used. Professional telemetry and monitoring systems, remote network diagnostics (gradual region testing, sectorization), detection and localization of bursts – all of the above can be built on the basis of the CellBOX-H/Hydrant. The logged data (e.g. minimum night flow) can be used in water loss analyses. Easy mounting in underground hydrant fangs makes CellBOX-H/Hydrant to be the perfect solution at measurement campaigns, e.g. for calibration and verification of mathematic models of water supply networks. The device could be used also at intervention control measurements for a single, ad hoc registration of parameters of a water network. The device can also be used in the process of selection of appropriate measuring devices, e.g. water meters. CellBOX-H/Hydrant is adapted for operation with all water meters equipped with pulse transmitters, electromagnetic and ultrasonic flow meters, and all measurement devices by renowned companies.
