Expense Reduction Analysts (ERA) consultants analyzed spending across five business categories for Beacon Hill Country Club (BHCC) over a three-year period. This resulted in average savings of 17.2% ($160,000) through renegotiated supplier contracts and identifying a new cleaning supplier. ERA worked with most incumbent suppliers to reduce costs in waste (41.3%), uniforms and linens (23.4%), and food services (16.5%). BHCC chose to continue using name brand chemicals and fertilizers but reduced spending 4.3%. The general manager was pleased with the savings and believes other clubs would benefit from learning ERA's strategies.
