• The progress and actions taken by a person throughout a lifetime, especially
those related to that person’s occupations
• A career is often composed of the jobs held , titles earned and work
accomplished over a long period of time, rather than just referring to
one position.

5. Career Vs. Job
• A career is the pursuit of a lifelong ambition or the general course of
progression towards lifelong goals.
• Job is an activity through which an individual can earn money. It is a regular
activity in exchange of payment.

• Career move –a change that you make in order to get a better job or to

• Career break—a period of time when you choose not to have a job
