This course allows high school seniors to earn credits while working 10-15 hours per week at an approved training site. Students will learn job skills like employability, communication, and financial management. To earn 2 credits, students must work 10-15 hours weekly, or 3 credits for 15+ weekly hours while following school policies at their training site.

1. Career Preparation I

2. Prerequisites: Senior, 16 years of age or older, must maintain employment throughout school year at an approved training site and must abide by PISD policies. Must work 10-15 hours per week to earn 2 credits Or work 15+ hours per week to earn 3 credits. Credit: 2-3 Units

3. Course Description Students will learn employability skills, job interviewing techniques, communication skills, financial and budgeting activities, human relations and will develop a personal portfolio.
