The capstone project for a logistics program involves a team acting as a fourth party logistics provider developing a 100-page plan and 40-50 page presentation over several months to improve the ineffective supply chain of a fictitious company. The plan will be presented to instructors acting as board members who will ask questions, and completion of the extensive project and certification program will demonstrate a strong work ethic and prepare students for success in the logistics industry.

1. The capstone project deals with a fictitious company who has a ineffective supply
chain and our team acts as a fourth party logistics company to come up with a
comprehensive, tangible plan and presentation to be presented to the instructors.
The instructors will act as board members of the fictitious company and will ask
questions relating to our teams plan. The project will about 100 pages and the
presentation between 40 and 50 pages. This team project takes months to complete
due to the amount of detail, research, and communication required to create a
comprehensive, tangible, and successful plan. It has been described by many of the
instructors that it is like a mini masters program due to the extensive amount of
work and knowledge required to be successful. Not every team passes; three of the
six passed in the previous enrolled session. Though choosing to compete the
program in 6 months is a tremendous amount of work it will give me the work ethic
needed to be successful in the industry. When I have successfully completed this
program and project I will receive a certification as a Global Logistic Specialist.
