Henry Huntington and four friends took a trip in March 2013 along the Canol Road in the Northwest Territories and Yukon to explore the boreal winter landscape. They saw various tree species ranging from pines in the south to spruce and poplar farther north. They observed animal tracks from species like wolverine, snowshoe hare, wolf, caribou, moose, porcupine, fox, and least weasel. The ice, snow, sky, and boreal forest provided beautiful natural spectacles. The group hopes the boreal ecosystem can long inspire people while human impact remains minimal.
