- The project aims to deworm 1.5 million people in Ecuador through a nationwide campaign executed by 59 Rotary clubs over 12 months. It will target families with limited economic resources, especially children ages 2 to 12. - Feed the Children will donate 3 million pills of Mebendazole to treat helminthes infections, and it is hoped that 1.5 million doses of Secnidazole will also be donated to treat amoeba infections. The medications will be distributed free of charge across the country. - The project aims to unite Rotary clubs in a joint effort to spread awareness of Rotary International's work and help identify deworming needs in schools and institutions through media campaigns.
