Camp Meenahga operated from 1916 to 1948 as a summer camp for daughters of affluent families near Peninsula State Park in Fish Creek, Wisconsin. The camp aimed to provide a wholesome environment for outdoor activities like swimming, horseback riding, and canoeing, with campers following a daily schedule that incorporated Bible readings and included at least one strenuous activity. Campers wore distinctive uniforms and slept in tents on wooden platforms, taking part in traditions like skinny dipping and sleep outs under the stars. While the camp facilities are now ruins, efforts are made to document and share their history through geocaching activities and multimedia projects plotting the original locations.
