Introduction:
Of all the actions of a person’s life, the most difficult past is to confront the reality. The same
reality, which many of us don’t bother actually. We do many things in our life without noticing
that it could obstruct our future. Today the problem that has no names how to manipulate the
other person. It has become vast. Lust of getting everything has become common. Above all Lust
of having some person without giving her appropriate value in your life.
This story is also having the same phenomenon. This is the moral story as well. It shows how
lust destroys human’s beings life.
Love seeks to give generously and selflessly at all costs, even when it’s a sacrifice; lust is selfish
and seeks to get pleasure for oneself. Passion is good in the right context of marriage. God gave
us this powerful gift. But lust is intrinsically selfish and just seeks to indulge its sexual cravings.
Lust is a lie that equals death! It will be the death of your relationships and of any love that might
have been present. Only after indulging it does the remorse, guilt, emasculation, and evil that
was hiding beneath kick in. Lust promises you passion, fun, and a great relationship. But, lust is
the great destroyer of relationships because it is the opposite of true love. This is what happened
in this story.

A guy name Calvin, 24 years old happily enjoying his married life, but still has some kind of fear
in his life, still he is nowhere in his life. He want to run away from his past but as Nicholas
Sparks also said,
“How far can you run from your past?” “Can you ever escape your past?”
He also fails to overcome it.

chapter:
Calvin’s Infatuations:
Life is so uncertain…
Sitting in his living room; he turned the question over in his mind for what seemed to be the
hundredth time. Outside, the winter sun had long since set. A grayish sheen of fog was visible
through the window, and aside from the gentle tap of a branch against the glass, all was quiet.
Yet he was not alone, his thousands of thought about life were with him. He pulled himself up
from his spot on the couch and walked down the hall. His mind was shifting to the past. He
thought again and again about the past.
Who was he then? And who was he now? On the surface these questions seemed easy.
He turned away from the bedroom doorway and returned to the living room. Moving towards
the mature duration of his life, he could not erase that chapter of his life. Many times he wished
4 | P a g e
he could roll back the clock and erase all the sadness, he had a hunch that if he did so, the joy
would be diminished as well. And that was something he could not contemplate.
His name was Calvin and he was twenty four years old, an assistant officer who was just about
to celebrate his 25th birthday but was not very much happy at this time. His mind was drifting to
the past. He was a kind of a jolly person but now he had become a person who just wanted to
spend life as he is not spending it rather life is spending him. He had become aware from this
fact that he could not fight from his destiny and the uncertain things happened.
One gullible mistake can lead him so far away from his jolly life; he could not imagine such
staff. He was not able to overcome his past. Still he was passing through the same difficult
situation.
At this time, he was recalling that the same meeting with Adele. When he met her from the
very first day of his college life. It was his first day in the college and was a very memorable day
for him. His friend Jeremy called him but he could not picked up the phone because he was so
much obsessed with sleep typically. At last he woke up at 9, unaware from this fact that it was
his first day, checked his phone and there was twenty calls from Jeremy.
He called Jeremy, “Hey, What is the matter?”
We have a class today, if you remember? Jeremy said.
“Oh Yes, Damn”... I forgot totally.
“Listen? I am coming. Ok bye”… said Calvin hurriedly
5 | P a g e
after calling him and giving him these words that he would not missed his first lecture, he stood
up from his bed. He was quick, he took a long shower, brushed his teeth, and He gargled twice.
He took the time to manage a shirt from his cupboard, turned the hair dryer on low, and added
both mousses and gel brushing his hair and wore his white favorite shirt with jeans. He looked
fabulous in that shirt and he knew the fact that he always remained popular in the class by his
looks, by his intelligence.
Looked himself in the mirror, he smiled.
In a flash, he was in the car. The roads were empty because of cloudy atmosphere. Calvin
pressed the accelerator, speeding towards college. He was exited but in a hurry too. He reached
at college and met with Jeremy who informed him that there is no lecture today. Both in the state
of excitement left the classroom and there they saw a girl having innocent looks. Calvin forgot to
bow down his eyes. It was the first time in his life, when he himself paid an attention towards a
girl. Otherwise girls wanted to have his company. At that time, he was not aware from the word
“love”.
He came out from these thoughts when an alarm clock ringed. He tries to come out from his
past. He starts doing his usual works, takes coffee and reads newspaper, and he embargoes at one
news when he reads that a girl became a victim of a vicious man. He could not understand what
should he do further?
He wants to run away from the reality. A big reality of his life. Which he wants to hide from
6 | P a g e
everyone, even from him, but past cannot stay hide. A person cannot run from his past.
2nd
chapter:
Calvin’s character as a human being:
This news was a kind of jerk for him and he again could not stop himself to think about his bitter
past.
It was just after three days from the very 1st day of his college. He arrived alone. His friend
Jeremy was on leave. And as he strolled through the crowd, looking for his friends, he saw
Adele. She was pretty enough to attract him towards herself. She also looked his way with a pair
of hazy eyes that kept on coming. As he approached her, she felt stumbled. She wanted to move
on but he stood in front of her in a couple of minutes. That was their 1st meeting. An ordinary
beginning had started but girl was not looking so relaxed.
Although it could be seen that Adele also used to love him but she was kind of a girl who wanted
to hide her feelings even from Calvin. As she’s been orphaned as a young child. Her family
background was not like Calvin’s. She loved her but she could not express her before Calvin
while on the other side Calvin was not this type of man. He used to like her but not in the sense
of “love”. He wanted to spend some time with her. And it happened. Calvin approached her,
7 | P a g e
made friendship with her. Everyone in the college, was shocked to see these two people together
even Jeremy was not aware from the trick which was going on in Calvin’s mind. In a little time,
they were so close to each other. Adele trusted him a lot. She felt secured with him and knew he
loved her as well, and that was why she accepted his proposal to go along with his rest house.
He came out from his thoughts when his phone ringed. He forgot about that meeting which was
going to hold in office auditorium. One of his friends made him realized about that meeting. He
came out from his house and rush towards his office. After meeting he came back home and felt
his mind drifting back to the past. Who was he then?
He was fun loving boy, who loved to have fun but enjoyed the company of good friends around
him. He was erratic and creative. Super intelligent and has a multitude of talents that are
respectable and almost enviable. He had got a great sense of humor when it came to the
situations that he had put in with life and his looked fit his personality, in the sense that he had
quirky looking on the outside and quirking acting on the inside. He was good in studies and now
he was on a good post but besides all this he was not happy. There was something, which he was
missing in his present life and that was to ruin a girl’s life. He could not forget that the darkest
hour of his life but still he cannot make reparation for that mistake. He could not roll back the
clock and vanished all the calamities he had done. He had made a number of achievements but
still he was not satisfied form the core of his heart.
After reaching home, he sat on the couch for hours, wondering how this situation had come to
8 | P a g e
pass. He had everything his life. So why was he so much alone? He was not that kind of a man.
Then why was he behaving in this manner? The answers were locked in his questions. He could
not enjoy his worldly happiness after having every blessing in his life.
He recalled again that night. They were so close. While Adele was with him because of her
blindly trust on him. He detached from her after that night. He was not interested in forever
relation. Well, it could be liked this, his lust was fulfilled. Calvin was no more interested in her
because Adele was ready to give her everything and that’s what she did. After that night, Adele
tried to contact her many times but he unnoticed.
Coastal clouds slowly began to roll across the evening sky, turning silver with the reflection of
the moon. As they thickened, Calvin learned his head back and rested it against the rocking
chair. His legs moved automatically and he went back again in the past.
It was just after graduation that he received a letter from Adele in which it was mentioned that
Adele is pregnant.
Calvin plopped down on the bed as if his legs had suddenly given out to read this news.

chapter:
Calvin’s subversive behavior towards Adele’s pregnancy:
Adele ever wanted to spend time Calvin. But she had no idea that for Calvin, it was just for some
temporary moments. She was expecting that Calvin would be happy to hear this news, as it was
according to the will of both. But she forgot that for Calvin’s his reputation was most important
than his love. He did not love her. It was just Adele’s illusion or might be her misunderstanding
towards knowing Calvin’s personality.
Adele was thinking when he hears the phone ringing.
She picked it up.
He was Calvin. She thought her perception was wrong. He did care about her and could not stop
himself for calling her. This was the most joyous moment for Adele.
There was silence…
“Hello? Calvin? Are you there?” Adele hurriedly asked.
There was a complete silence on the other side.
“Yes it’s me”. Calvin responded.
“What on earth are you doing? She gasped. Holding her head, she was hunched over, where you
10 | P a g e
have been so long?”
“I was busy in some project”. He protested.
So what is your plan about our baby? Well, I think the plans for us? She blinked, forgetting the
tacky things of the past.
“I want to meet you”. Said Calvin.
“You’ve been in Cafeteria almost half an hour!” ordered he.
“Really?”
“Yeah really”!
Adele was so excited to hear this. She decided to get ready and reached at that place.
Calvin was there, Adele ran and unconsciously hugged her, and it was the most soothing moment
for a lover to have his warmth. Adele was feeling the same, while Calvin was not feeling
satisfied. Why are you looking so dull? Asked Adele, as it had been a number of days to see him.
“Ade?” Said Calvin.
I am very happy to hear this news of your pregnancy but I want to say you something. See, don’t
think something wrong. What am I going to say is most credible for both of us.
“What? I am not getting what you want to say?” For a moment she simply looked at her and
asked.
“I don’t need this baby, I want you to abort this baby,” he finally said.
What? What you said? Adele was in the state of unconsciousness.
11 | P a g e
“You are kidding? Right? Laughed Adele. You have gone mad? Have you any sense what you
are saying?”
“Yes, I don’t need this baby”, uttered Calvin.
“So you want to meet me for saying all such rubbish stuff?”
Arching her back, she suffered through contraction and felt giddy. Calvin supported her,
“Are you okay?” Asked Calvin, but Adele was not in the state of saying anything.
He began to lead her to the car, finally gaining some measure of control.
You don’t want to have this baby? She said fainting
then why are you with me?
Where is your love? Who am I? What am I doing here with you? If you are not ready to take the
responsibility of my baby.
“Listen? I love you but I am not ready how could I be a father? I have no idea what I am
supposed to do. I love you. Yes I love you. I would marry you but not now. I’ll make sure to stay
you blissful.”
It was hurting for Adele. As she was not expecting him to react like that.
I make an appointment with the doctor, he said, as he was not concerned with the word “Love”.
And he did so.
They got appointment with the doctor and she had aborted for the sake of him.
Adele had this realization that she had become the victim of such emotionless man. It was true,
12 | P a g e
Calvin did not want to lose his status just because of this mistake. She could had become his
weakness. He had this insecurity that all this could become the factor of losing his property as
well. He did not want such things.
It was the toughest time for Adele, she could not do anything. In this patriarchal society, woman
has no place. She has no right to do anything by her own ways. She is just a “toy” in the hand of
man for their pleasure. She trusts on him. But Calvin could not stand on his expectations fully.
She could not understand what to do next; she leaved that place for her own identity.

chapter:
Calvin’s repentance:
Time passed quickly.
Adele remained no more in the mind of Calvin. He was happily living his life. He had married to
a pretty girl.
The following morning, as prisms of light began poking through the opening between the drapes,
Calvin’s eyes fluttered open. His wife Lexis was asleep on her back with her dark hair splayed
over the pillow. Touching her hair gently, he thought that how lucky he is, he is blessed with
13 | P a g e
everything, till that he was not regret what he had done to a girl, Adele.
After having breakfast, Lexis said to Calvin that she has some good news for him.
“I am pregnant,” she finally said.
This was the sentence, which was as joyous as well as haunting. He forgot Adele completely.
But this time he was happier than the earlier because he had this idea that became a father is a
blessing not a curse.
“Really?” He was so happy today because this gap of his life was also going to fill.
He pulled her closer, figuring it was best to mention,” I was thinking how lucking the baby is to
have you as a mother.”
She smiled, “I hope our baby has your personality.”
They were talking that suddenly Calvin’s phone ringed.
“Hey?” Jeremy here.
“Jeremy? Where were you been? You have no idea how much I was missing you”. Said he after
hearing his best friend’s voice.
“Let’s have some plan to catch-up.”
“Why not. Can we meet now?” Said Jeremy
“In club?”
“Okay, fine. I will be in club in half an hour.” Said Calvin excitedly.
Lost in thoughts, he reached there. His meeting was with Jeremy was wonderful. He learned that
14 | P a g e
much about Adele that she is living a healthy life. He was happy to hear. It was some kind of a
burden in his shoulder but now he was feeling relaxed.
As he reached home, there was some kind of silence. He called, Lex? Where are you? But there
was a complete silence. He checked all the rooms but he could not find her. He put out his phone
to call her.
The other person was saying him to come to the hospital as soon as possible.
Lexis was there in the fainted state. But the doctor said that she is all right. But have some
conversation with her husband. Calvin followed the doctor to her room.
The doctor told her that Lexis is all right but she could not save their baby. Their baby is no more
in this world. He could not make his balance to hear this.
“And there is some other bad news too.” doctor said.
Lexis would not be able to possess baby in the future.
“How could this be so sudden”, he thought.
After hearing this news, he moved toward Lexis’ room. She was now looking stable. But Calvin
could not tell her about her miscarriage and not becoming a mother in the future. It was quite
tragic. Or it was his fate. He ruined a girl’s life and in return his life had become empty forever.
He told her everything;
she hurriedly hugged her, and wept bitterly.
Why this all done to us? Why? She was questioning while Calvin was lost in his thoughts how he
15 | P a g e
did compel Adele to abort their baby.
Certainly, “life is so miserable”. He thought.
He had everything but still he could not fill this emptiness of his life.
At this moment, he recalled his past that if he does not do anything wrong in his past, his future
would be safe. He wanted to regret for his mistakes. He had known that fate is the most powerful
thing in the world. No one can challenge it and what you have done in the past surely will come
to your future and you have to face the reality. Calvin could not able to forget his past. His
destiny was confronting him from the same happening, which had happened many years before.

chapter:
Conclusion:
Lust is thus the ultimate cause of general imperfection and the most immediate root cause of a
certain suffering. In our society it is becoming more common. Men are wired to lust and
not love. Because of the male wiring, men don't realize how different they are. They think they
love when they really have no clue. If you don't have the biological means to experience love all
you can do is call the imitation love. Men can go through the motions but they cannot feel
differently. They lust. Women, being wired differently, don't get that men experience it all
16 | P a g e
differently. They assume that men do feel as they do.
The solution is to give up on the notion of love. It does not exist. It does not serve women well.
Men can have their lust. Women need to ditch their romantic notions and see it as it is. Men don't
care about women. No amount of agonizing, lying to oneself, rationalizing their behavior,
blaming oneself or jumping through hoops is going to change this fact. To men, the world
revolves around their lust. They have no feelings like “love”. They can just play with the feelings
of women as they are just “slaves” or “toy” of their lives with which they can play anytime.
It is a difficult time distinguishing lust from love, but then our culture lacks a concept of the
difference between human nature as God created and intended it, and fallen human nature as we
now experience it. Falseness affects all our relationships. Grace is something we not only need in
the depths of our souls as individuals; it’s something we need in the working out of all our
relationships as well. Lust can be overcome and transformed by love, self-centered and
objectifying behavior can be transformed by grace into other-centered truly personal behavior.
As sinful human beings, our lustful appetites are so evil; they’ll use God’s good commands to
tempt us.

12 | Pa g e Calvin did not want to lose his status just because of this mistake. She could had become his weakness. He had this insecurity that all this could become the factor of losing his property as well. He did not want such things. It was the toughest time for Adele, she could not do anything. In this patriarchal society, woman has no place. She has no right to do anything by her own ways. She is just a “toy” in the hand of man for their pleasure. She trusts on him. But Calvin could not stand on his expectations fully. She could not understand what to do next; she leaved that place for her own identity. 4th chapter: Calvin’s repentance: Time passed quickly. Adele remained no more in the mind of Calvin. He was happily living his life. He had married to a pretty girl. The following morning, as prisms of light began poking through the opening between the drapes, Calvin’s eyes fluttered open. His wife Lexis was asleep on her back with her dark hair splayed over the pillow. Touching her hair gently, he thought that how lucky he is, he is blessed with

13 | Pa g e everything, till that he was not regret what he had done to a girl, Adele. After having breakfast, Lexis said to Calvin that she has some good news for him. “I am pregnant,” she finally said. This was the sentence, which was as joyous as well as haunting. He forgot Adele completely. But this time he was happier than the earlier because he had this idea that became a father is a blessing not a curse. “Really?” He was so happy today because this gap of his life was also going to fill. He pulled her closer, figuring it was best to mention,” I was thinking how lucking the baby is to have you as a mother.” She smiled, “I hope our baby has your personality.” They were talking that suddenly Calvin’s phone ringed. “Hey?” Jeremy here. “Jeremy? Where were you been? You have no idea how much I was missing you”. Said he after hearing his best friend’s voice. “Let’s have some plan to catch-up.” “Why not. Can we meet now?” Said Jeremy “In club?” “Okay, fine. I will be in club in half an hour.” Said Calvin excitedly. Lost in thoughts, he reached there. His meeting was with Jeremy was wonderful. He learned that

14 | Pa g e much about Adele that she is living a healthy life. He was happy to hear. It was some kind of a burden in his shoulder but now he was feeling relaxed. As he reached home, there was some kind of silence. He called, Lex? Where are you? But there was a complete silence. He checked all the rooms but he could not find her. He put out his phone to call her. The other person was saying him to come to the hospital as soon as possible. Lexis was there in the fainted state. But the doctor said that she is all right. But have some conversation with her husband. Calvin followed the doctor to her room. The doctor told her that Lexis is all right but she could not save their baby. Their baby is no more in this world. He could not make his balance to hear this. “And there is some other bad news too.” doctor said. Lexis would not be able to possess baby in the future. “How could this be so sudden”, he thought. After hearing this news, he moved toward Lexis’ room. She was now looking stable. But Calvin could not tell her about her miscarriage and not becoming a mother in the future. It was quite tragic. Or it was his fate. He ruined a girl’s life and in return his life had become empty forever. He told her everything; she hurriedly hugged her, and wept bitterly. Why this all done to us? Why? She was questioning while Calvin was lost in his thoughts how he

15 | Pa g e did compel Adele to abort their baby. Certainly, “life is so miserable”. He thought. He had everything but still he could not fill this emptiness of his life. At this moment, he recalled his past that if he does not do anything wrong in his past, his future would be safe. He wanted to regret for his mistakes. He had known that fate is the most powerful thing in the world. No one can challenge it and what you have done in the past surely will come to your future and you have to face the reality. Calvin could not able to forget his past. His destiny was confronting him from the same happening, which had happened many years before. 5th chapter: Conclusion: Lust is thus the ultimate cause of general imperfection and the most immediate root cause of a certain suffering. In our society it is becoming more common. Men are wired to lust and not love. Because of the male wiring, men don't realize how different they are. They think they love when they really have no clue. If you don't have the biological means to experience love all you can do is call the imitation love. Men can go through the motions but they cannot feel differently. They lust. Women, being wired differently, don't get that men experience it all

16 | Pa g e differently. They assume that men do feel as they do. The solution is to give up on the notion of love. It does not exist. It does not serve women well. Men can have their lust. Women need to ditch their romantic notions and see it as it is. Men don't care about women. No amount of agonizing, lying to oneself, rationalizing their behavior, blaming oneself or jumping through hoops is going to change this fact. To men, the world revolves around their lust. They have no feelings like “love”. They can just play with the feelings of women as they are just “slaves” or “toy” of their lives with which they can play anytime. It is a difficult time distinguishing lust from love, but then our culture lacks a concept of the difference between human nature as God created and intended it, and fallen human nature as we now experience it. Falseness affects all our relationships. Grace is something we not only need in the depths of our souls as individuals; it’s something we need in the working out of all our relationships as well. Lust can be overcome and transformed by love, self-centered and objectifying behavior can be transformed by grace into other-centered truly personal behavior. As sinful human beings, our lustful appetites are so evil; they’ll use God’s good commands to tempt us.
