not far from Polynesia, very close to the Pacific Ocean

Studio, Disneyland, Silicon Valley (“Bay Area” in San
Francisco) where no less than 30 head offices of well-
known firms are established (Facebook, Apple, Google,
Yahoo, etc…), the Golden Gate Bridge (San Francisco),
shopping
many people dream about going there (ex: my brother
has always dreamt about going to California & even some
old people I met want to go to the USA & especially in Los
Angeles or Las Vegas (in the state of Nevada)

10. Yosemite National Park : a
Wonderful place
situated among the mounts of the Sierra Nevada (the assembly line) where
the highest mountain of USA culminated at 4421m: the Mont Whitney
An area of about 3000 km² but 94% of the park is set as “wild areas”
→ the Yosemite Wilderness. As for the tourists, they just visit 36km² which
correspond to only 1% of the whole area.
more than a simple site where people come & go, it is a very bonus for the
Californian economy → more than 3,5 millions visitors every year
1984: recognized as a Worldwide Patrimony of Humanity by the UNESCO
Half Dome (Diapositive 12)
_ emblem of the Park
_ a huge block of granite. Its surface grows up to 2700m & many
climbers go there (better to be a professional & not to fear sheer drops )
11. climate: it depends of the altitude:
_ in the Yosemite Valley (Diapositive 12) -3 to 32°C

birds, 12 species of amphibious animals, 22 species of reptiles but not too many
fish), landscapes (about 10 water falls ex: Yosemite Falls , valleys: Yosemite
Valley, etc…)
it offers plenty of open-air activities such as rafting, go hiking, fishing,
mountaineering, etc…) & 18 camping houses are at the tourists’ disposal
the cost of the entrance is set to 20$ per car for the length of a whole week
knowing that the Yosemite Valley is well-provided (post office, supermarket,
cash dispensers, “museums”, people selling maps, food, books, etc…)
If you were to go to California, please go there & maybe send me some
postcards.
