• Principle defensive action is to withdraw and protect –
close off the world and ignore it
• Visibly upset by criticism, takes umbrage at least

• Strong-willed, obstinate – toddler often difficult to

• Dr. Tyler remarks, it is difficult to miss
a Calcarea child
• 4F = Constitution, F1 = Fair, F2 = Fat,
F3 = Flabby & F4 = Freezing

• Dr. Blackie refers especially a
description of children who are
charming, smiling and who take prize
at the baby show. They sit where they
are put and do not wriggle about like
other children.

• Neck and body may be scraggy
• She comes in puffily and presents you with a froggy
hands that makes you shrink and you can spot Calc.
Carb by the hands (Ref. Dr. Tyler). Sometimes they
have a large nose
• Pale, chalky complexion
• Can’t bear tight clothing around middle
• Looks physically strong but lacks motivation
• Round appearance
• Look and Diagnose:
• 3F: Fair, fat, flabby
• Freezing
• Slow, sluggish movement (compare: oyster-shell)
• Strong bony framework
• Forehead is wide
• Upper lip protruding
• Develop wrinkles
• The tips of fingers are square
• Short limbed

• The “shadow side” of Calc is the
terribly difficult, badly behaved
child.
• Temper tantrums of screaming,
ungovernable, disobedient, “self
willed”.
• Uncontrollable natures
• Tantrums are continuous with little
or no discernible provocation.
• Stressed mostly from overexertion
of overwork – mentally or physically.
