Caitlin Snead has completed a successful student teaching experience under the supervision of Donna Rishor. Rishor observed that Caitlin developed strong rapport with students, engaging them through varied instructional strategies and maintaining excellent pacing. To Whom It May Concern,
I have worked with Caitlin Snead as her University Supervisor during her student teaching experience.
It is from this perspective, and with great pride, that I would like to tell you about Caitlin.
It has been remarkable to observe Caitlin during student teaching. She has developed a rapport with
students that positions her as both an authority figure and an approachable and caring adult. Always
enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the content she is teaching, Caitlin is quick to engage her students
in the lesson and uses a variety of instructional strategies, and excellent pacing, to keep students
involved with the lesson.
Caitlin regularly pushes her students to develop beyond the scope of third grade by introducing,
defining, and using vocabulary words that are just beyond their reach. It has the impact of making the
students feel competent, valued, and trusted to be able to take on higher order language development.
Lessons in Caitlin’s class are always creative, engaging, and student-centered. She is skilled at teaching
the content in multiple ways that engage her students’ need to talk, move, participate, and work quietly.
She is good at questioning students into understanding and has an incredible work ethic.
It is without reservation that I highly recommend Caitlin Snead for the position of teacher. She is,
without a doubt, an exceptional new teacher candidate who cares about her practice and is passionate
about teaching. If you would like more information, please feel free to call me at (520) 975-0625.
Sincerely,
Donna M. Rishor
