The document discusses three real-time monitoring systems developed through a partnership between Ecopetrol and JPT:
1) A smart water cut monitor that measures water cut, pressure, and temperature from wells and facilities in real time.
2) A smart water quality monitoring device that continuously measures water quality parameters.
3) A system to monitor reservoir parameters like pressure, temperature, and deviation in real time from injector and producer wells.
The systems were designed and developed locally in Colombia to optimize efficiency, costs and production through early problem detection and response. Future developments discussed are a real-time multiphase flow meter and permanent production logging tool.
