Jesus Christ is our healer.
He heals our body, our soul and our spirit.
The process of healing our emotions.
He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.
Repentance is the first step in beginning a walk with God and is vital to maintaining that relationship. Repentance involves acknowledging one's sins and faults, resolving not to repeat offenses, and attempting to live according to God's teachings. It requires admitting guilt, making amends, and living a life that pleases God. While humans often justify sins based on circumstances, the Bible teaches that God does not condone sin in any form. True repentance involves understanding what displeases God, acknowledging one's sinful nature, repenting of sins, and seeking to live righteously according to God's will. Repentance is fundamental to having a relationship with God and finding redemption through faith in Jesus Christ.
The document discusses the biblical meaning of repentance and how it involves a change of heart and mind that is demonstrated through one's actions. It provides several examples from the book of Acts showing how people responded to the gospel by hearing the word, believing the message, demonstrating repentance through their attitudes and deeds, confessing their faith, and being baptized. The purpose is to explain that repentance is a necessary response to the gospel that God requires of all people.
This document contains the text of a sermon given at Gospel Baptist Tabernacle. The sermon focuses on keeping one's heart, which includes emotions, will, and intellect, in line with God's word. It encourages setting one's heart fully on God alone, demonstrating love for Him through obedience. It discusses renewing one's mind to think biblically and setting affection on heavenly rather than earthly things. The sermon concludes by urging focusing on Jesus without distraction and guarding one's feelings, will, and intellect to live victoriously as a child of God.

Pleasing God is fundamental to having our lives held together and prospering. We must seek to please Him by putting God's saving work into action with deep reverence and fear, as God works in us to will and do according to His good pleasure. A plan of action begins with understanding what God wants - a personal relationship, that no one perish, and that all can prosper. We must stay away from complaining, arguing, fear, fretting, and faithlessness. We should challenge ourselves, be observant of alignment opportunities, and consciously be solution providers working according to God's purpose.
This document lists 10 Bible verses that are recommended for teens to know. It includes verses about discipline, purpose, obedience, humility, leadership, purity, righteousness, submission, perseverance, and God's promise of eternal life through belief in Jesus Christ. The verses provide guidance for teens on studying Scripture, trusting God's plans, honoring parents, being humble, leading by example, glorifying God with their bodies, fleeing lusts, submitting to God, fighting the good fight of faith, and believing in Jesus for salvation.
This document presents several Bible passages about love, especially love for children and others. The passages discuss love as patient and kind; not envious or boastful; bearing all things and enduring all things; and being the greatest of faith, hope and love. They encourage walking in love, serving one another in love, loving neighbors and enemies, and loving as God first loved us through sending Jesus. The overall message is about showing unconditional love, forgiveness and compassion for others as commanded by God.

The Apostle Paul and his company stopped in Caesarea at the home of Philip, one of the seven deacons appointed in the early church. Philip had traveled as an evangelist but settled in Caesarea where he married and raised four daughters who were prophets. God had blessed Philip and his family for being settled in the ways of God.
This document provides an overview and analysis of the New Testament book of Hebrews. It discusses key themes in Hebrews such as Christ being the center, the real rest that believers have in him, Christ as the true high priest, and maturity that comes from being in Christ rather than deeds. It contrasts the real truths presented in Hebrews with the false practices the Jews were engaging in. The document examines major sections of Hebrews in detail and provides discussion questions at the end to help readers apply the lessons from Hebrews to their lives.
This document discusses the New Testament book of 3 John. It provides background on the book, including that it was written by John to encourage a man named Gaius for his hospitality in hosting missionaries. It warns of a man named Diotrephes who opposed God's work and sought to gain power and control in the church. The document encourages emulating those like Gaius who model the gospel through prosperity of soul, walking in truth, and extending hospitality, while exposing those like Diotrephes who battle the gospel through rejecting hospitality and contesting the truth.
God's goodness, authority, compassion, and love all lead us to repentance. The document discusses how God has always shown goodness towards mankind, despite our sinfulness. It also explains how God commands repentance and waits patiently for us to repent through His compassion. God's love is most clearly seen in Jesus' sacrifice to save mankind. For those who know they have sinned, they must repent and obey God's will to be saved through Jesus Christ.
1. The document discusses 1 John and key themes around fellowship with God and other believers through obedience, love, and walking in the light. It contrasts the spirit of truth with the spirit of antichrist and falsehood. It emphasizes purity, steadfast hope, and discerning spirits. It addresses how believers can have confidence in their salvation and the importance of listening to one's heart.
The document discusses the origins and stages of a zombie apocalypse. It describes the zombie condition as being caused by an infectious agent. It outlines three stages: fortify, gather, and survive. The fortify stage involves preparing to bunker down for a couple weeks. The gather stage involves obtaining weapons and supplies while only traveling in groups during daylight. The survive stage discusses relocating to secure areas like prisons or country mansions near water, and avoiding populated places. Bible verses are included throughout to provide guidance.
This document discusses the difference between true and false righteousness. False righteousness is practiced openly before men to be noticed and honored by them, with the intention of receiving rewards from men. True righteousness, according to the document, involves serving God secretly and humbly, with the intention of pleasing God alone and receiving eternal rewards from Him. The document examines different aspects of righteousness like position, intention, and renumeration to contrast false and true righteousness and encourage pursuing the latter through checking motives and doing good works for God rather than people.
The letter discusses the relationship between love and truth. It says that true believers are united by their love for and knowledge of the truth. This bond of truth exists among genuine followers of Christ everywhere, regardless of denomination, comprising the true "bride of Christ." The letter warns that those who diverge from the truth by embracing false teachings do not truly have God and risk losing their full eternal reward. It encourages believers to remain faithful by continuing to walk in truth and obedience through love.
This document provides an overview and analysis of the key themes in the New Testament book of 2 Peter. It discusses how 2 Peter prepares believers to live in light and handle periods of darkness. It examines 2 Peter's warnings about lying leaders and the coming day of judgment. The document also explores how to diligently seek the lost and look to God, who is patient and has promised a new heaven and earth.
If no one can see God and live (Ex. 33:19-23) then why did Jesus promise the pure in heart that they would "see God"? (Mt. 5:8) How did Job and David see God? (Job 42:5; Psa. 19) How have you seen God? What difference has seeing Him made in your life? What are our hearts naturally? (Jer. 17:9) What are the characteristics of a divided or insincere heart? (Psa. 86:11; Ez. 11:19) Describe the condition of your heart. Why does God want our hearts, even more than our minds, emotions or behavior? (Prov. 4:23; 27:19; Jer. 29:13)
This document discusses the concept of humility based on several Bible passages. It makes three key points:
1) True humility involves having a low view of oneself and recognizing that all people have sinned and fallen short of God's glory. We are justified by faith in Christ, not by our own works.
2) Those who exalt themselves will be humbled by God, while those who humble themselves will be exalted. Christians should submit to God and to one another in humility.
3) Knowledge and a sense of having "arrived" spiritually can lead to pride; true wisdom comes from loving God rather than focusing on one's own understanding. Humility and obedience to God are needed for
Maintaining a pure heart requires forgiveness of sins through obedience to God, and an ongoing process of transformation by renewing one's mind to God's teachings. It involves turning away from sinful influences, submitting to God's work within us, and sacrificing oneself while focusing on virtues. God purifies the heart as we allow Him to mold us into the likeness of Christ through His grace.
The document discusses the importance of guarding one's heart and having the right heart, head, and home. It emphasizes that a pure heart is necessary to see God and experience heaven. Having the right information in one's head through studying scripture is also important. Together, a pure heart and informed mind will lead to the right home of heaven. The document encourages readers to make sure Jesus is on the throne of their heart so they can one day dwell with God in their eternal home.
This sermon considers Jesus' sixth beatitude, the blessing on the pure in heart. We consider two aspects of a pure heart: a heart that is undivided and a heart that is cleansed. We then look at Colin Smith's 7 steps to promote purity of heart as a practical application.
This document provides information about a church service and sermon focused on Romans 12:1-8 and the theme of putting others first. The service will take place over Mother's Day weekend and encourage attendees to present their bodies as living sacrifices for others and allow God to transform their minds for the benefit of others. The sermon will explore how the church can use their spiritual gifts to serve others as one family in Christ.
This document contains various Bible verses about transforming one's mind and not conforming to worldly patterns. It encourages readers to understand and do God's will through renewing their mind and being washed through rebirth by the Holy Spirit. It lists Bible verses about discerning, interpreting, and proving God's will. The document ends by advertising free pizza after volleyball and introducing the topic of Romans for the next week.
The document discusses the laying on of hands in both the Old and New Testaments. In the Old Testament, it was used to impart blessings, for sacrifices, in witness bearing, and to set Levi apart. In the New Testament, Jesus and the apostles used it for healing, ordaining elders and ministers, sending Barnabas and Saul, and imparting the Holy Spirit. Today, it can be used to show approval for service and when praying for blessings and protection. The overall message is that laying on hands was used historically in the Bible to transfer spiritual gifts but that practice has ceased as the church has matured.

Foundation Stone #08: Healing by the Laying on of HandsRick Bruderick
Are you sick? Is your loved one sick? They can be healed. I've seen people with cancer healed. I've seen those whom the doctors declare to be dead rise to life. I've seen miraculous healing wherever people have faith to believe for it. God wants us healthy. Jesus paid the price.
THE LAYING ON OF HANDS is a basic Christian doctrine that is often misunderstood in the Body of Christ. This Bible study outline, collated by Prophet Joy Allen, outlines the history and significance of the laying on of hands.
The document discusses Christian faith and health. It defines health from a biblical perspective and explores the perfect will of God for divine health. It examines various causes of sickness, including sin, curses, strain, improper care of the body, and ignorance. It argues that while it is God's will to heal, using medicine does not demonstrate a lack of faith. Scripture provides evidence that God can use medical means to aid the healing process.
These are the notes for our Connect Group Learning to Prophesy Meeting of today, Thursday September 5, 2013, topic BIBLE PROPHECIES ABOUT HEALING. The document discusses Romans 12:1-2 and living as a living sacrifice according to God's will. It encourages offering one's body as an instrument of righteousness rather than sin. It advises renewing one's mind so as not to conform to worldly ways but instead be transformed and able to discern God's good, pleasing, and perfect will. Three key points discussed are: I) Not conforming to the world but transforming through God's word. II) Seeking God's wisdom over worldly wisdom. III) Living as part of God's people by listening to advice and counsel rather than one's own desires. The overall message is about discerning and following God's will through spiritual transformation rather than worldly conformity
This document discusses integrity and compromise in three main points:
1. It discusses the importance of developing integrity through overcoming temptations of performance, passion, pride and possessions. Compromise often leads to a loss of confidence in one's faith.
2. Childhood wounds can lead to conclusions about God and others that compromise integrity. Resolving past pain and avoiding extremes in reaction are important for integrity.
3. The story of one's life is shaped by assaults on the heart. Maintaining integrity requires walking uprightly, speaking truth, and honoring God above all things.

There are more Bibles and there is less understanding. The Bible is in print, online, on computer, tablet, cell phone - but we know less about what it teaches us.
A Religious “Me too Society”
I. The Pretense of Sincerity (Jer. 7:10).
II. The Subtlety of Religious Delusions (Jer. 7:8).
III. The Degradation of Spiritual Falsehood (Jer. 7:8).
IV. The Foolishness of God’s Message Ignored (Jer. 7:13).
V. The Consequence of Sin (Jer. 7:14-15).
Conclusion: (Heb 3:15)
The document discusses the importance of guarding one's thoughts and renewing one's mind. It notes that what we think affects our feelings and actions. Several Bible passages are referenced that speak of taking the helmet of salvation to protect our thoughts from the world's influences. The document suggests that renewing our mind provides identity in Christ, encouragement from God, and protection against sinful desires. It encourages filling our mind with Scripture to replace negative thoughts and not making emotional decisions without examining our thoughts first.
1) Stewardship refers to the careful and responsible management of something that has been entrusted to one's care, such as property or an organization.
2) The document discusses different areas of stewardship including the church, family, our bodies, our neighbors, and property in general.
3) Effective stewardship involves using the talents and resources God has given us to serve and care for others.
The document discusses the purpose and benefits of affliction according to the Bible. It explains that while affliction is painful, it can serve purposes like cleansing from sin, strengthening faith, and causing one to rely more on God. Affliction may come as a result of sin, to test faith like in the story of Job, or to prune and shape one's character like pruning a branch to bear more fruit. Overall, affliction is a tool God uses to move people closer to where they need to be spiritually.

This document discusses the importance of humility. It argues that humility is not weakness, but rather requires courage and confidence. True humility is being Christlike by thinking of others more than yourself and making choices to serve others instead of promoting yourself. The goal is to cultivate humility through practices like listening to others, admitting mistakes, surrendering plans to God, and preferring others over yourself. When people act with humility inspired by Christ's example, God honors and exalts them.
1) God will judge all people based on their knowledge of right and wrong. Those who judge others condemn themselves as they do the same things.
2) Judgment will be based on the truth of people's words and deeds, rather than surface appearances. All have sinned and failed to appreciate God's goodness and patience.
3) People are storing up wrath for themselves by their stubbornness and refusal to repent, despite God leading them to repentance through his kindness. They will face judgment for their sins.
This document discusses the importance of obedience as a spiritually healthy habit. It begins by noting that obedience can be costly, requiring sacrifice of pride, preferences, and self-sufficiency. However, the cost of disobedience is far greater. The document then provides several key points about healthy obedience:
1) Healthy obedience means living for our Master, God, rather than living for ourselves or according to our own desires.
2) Obedience is learned through suffering, as obedience in difficult times requires sacrifice.
3) True obedience requires dying to self and living for Christ by accepting and following His will rather than our own reasoning or feelings.
4) Healthy obedience strives for hol
1. The document is from Gospel Baptist Tabernacle and includes information about an upcoming children's church and a visiting music ministry.
2. Several passages from the Bible are quoted to discuss themes of carnality versus spirituality and controlling one's anger and pride.
3. Uncontrolled emotions like anger are said to come from indulging the "carnal mind" rather than submitting to God, and pride can make people think they can do things themselves rather than relying on God.
The document discusses the importance of patience and possessing one's soul through patience as stated in Luke 21:19. It provides information on the meaning of possession, patience, and soul from biblical passages. Possession refers to active control, patience involves enduring difficulties humbly as God works, and the soul is one's personality and actions. The conclusion exhorts applying patience to possess one's soul by obeying God and not trying to control circumstances. Remaining patient allows God to work and saves one from being possessed by sin or the world.
The document discusses Paul's teachings on exercising spiritual gifts from Romans 12:6-21. It provides commentary on several key points:
1) Christians should use their spiritual gifts, such as prophesying, serving, teaching, exhorting, giving, ruling, and showing mercy, according to the proportion of faith given by God.
2) Believers should show sincere love for one another, preferring others over oneself. They should also generously share with those in need and welcome others hospitably.
3) Christians are called to live peaceably with all, not taking revenge or responding to evil with more evil, but overcoming evil with good by showing love even to enemies.
Pastors as Brothers: How to Form Gospel-Centered Discipleship and Accountabil...Derick Parfan
This document discusses the importance of Christian accountability and discipleship groups for pastors. It notes that studies have shown pastors who experienced moral failures lacked personal accountability and daily time with God. The document then addresses common objections to accountability groups, citing Bible verses to show why confession of sins to one another and accountability are vital. It explains how such groups can help pastors remain gospel-centered by focusing on praise, confession, understanding the gospel, prayer, and obedience.
The document provides an overview of the book of Romans from the New Testament. It discusses key topics that Paul addresses such as salvation only coming through faith in God, the universality of sin, and how all are judged according to God's law. It also summarizes Romans' teachings on grace, predestination, struggling against sin and flesh, and sharing the gift of salvation with others through using spiritual gifts and not judging others.
The reform headed by the monk Martin Luther established five pillars of the true Christian Doctrine. Each of them are against the sinister religious system called the Vatican
This document discusses the nature of the human spirit, soul, and body. It notes that death is defined in the Bible as the separation of the spirit from the body. It then discusses how Christ's resurrected body, though physically the same, had supernatural properties like passing through walls and appearing suddenly. Finally, it states that at the rapture, believers will receive resurrected bodies that are physically the same but perfected and glorified like Christ's.

A British expedition led by Shuan Whitehead will explore Cocos Island, Costa Rica in search of the "Treasure of Lima" estimated to be worth £160 million. The treasure was stolen in 1820 by Captain William Thompson from Peru and consisted of over 100 gold religious statues, 200 chests of jewels, and hundreds of gold and silver bars. The document then discusses Jesus Christ being the true treasure, in whom are found all wisdom, knowledge, righteousness, grace, and peace.
The document describes Jesus telling a parable about a sower who scatters seed on four types of soil: a path, rocky ground, among thorns, and good soil. It explains that the seeds that fell on the path and rocky ground did not take root and were unsuccessful. The seeds among thorns grew initially but were later choked by the thorns. The seeds on good soil took root and produced a large harvest. The document then relates each type of soil to different types of people based on how they receive God's word, from those who do not understand or believe, to those who endure and bear fruit.
How false teachings of false teachers have entered into the church.
Five questions that will help you to test these new teachings if there are true or false.
The document discusses how a person's true identity comes from what God says about them, not from performance, achievements, looks, or status. It encourages focusing on renewing the mind with Scripture instead of conforming to worldly views. Key points are:
- Your identity comes from what God has done for you and says about you, not from what you or others say.
- You are a saint who sins, not defined by sins. God is working in you and will complete the process.
- Thank God for struggles that mold your character and produce something beautiful. Your answer is near.
Who wants to save his life, will lose it
Who give up his life for the sake of the kingdom, will find it.
If the grain of wheat doesn't fall and die cannot bear fruits.
The cost of following Jesus Christ
Christian Life is not meant to be a pathway of roses,
There is a journey full of struggle, suffering and pain for the true followers of Jesus Christ.
Discover the blessing God has stored after suffering and struggle.
Everything works for the good of the ones who love Jesus Christ.
Give thanks in everything for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.
There is a question that remains unresponsive.
Have you ever wonder why God allows us to fall,
the answers is because he gave us free will.
Even He let us go in our own ways,
He will never leave us alone.
Ready to forgive, to restore.
He is the God I love. What about you?
The document discusses the benefits of exercise for mental health. Regular physical activity can help reduce anxiety and depression and improve mood and cognitive functioning. Exercise causes chemical changes in the brain that may help protect against mental illness and improve symptoms.

Lucid Dreaming: Understanding the Risks and Benefits
The ability to control one's dreams or for the dreamer to be aware that he or she is dreaming. This process, called lucid dreaming, has some potential risks as well as many fascinating benefits. However, many people are hesitant to try it initially for fear of the potential dangers. This article aims to clarify these concerns by exploring both the risks and benefits of lucid dreaming.
The Benefits of Lucid Dreaming
Lucid dreaming allows a person to take control of their dream world, helping them overcome their fears and eliminate nightmares. This technique is particularly useful for mental health. By taking control of their dreams, individuals can face challenging scenarios in a controlled environment, which can help reduce anxiety and increase self-confidence.
Addressing Common Concerns
Physical Harm in Dreams Lucid dreaming is fundamentally safe. In a lucid dream, everything is a creation of your mind. Therefore, nothing in the dream can physically harm you. Despite the vividness and realness of the dream experience, it remains entirely within your mental landscape, posing no physical danger.
Mental Health Risks Concerns about developing PTSD or other mental illnesses from lucid dreaming are unfounded. As soon as you wake up, it's clear that the events experienced in the dream were not real. On the contrary, lucid dreaming is often seen as a therapeutic tool for conditions like PTSD, as it allows individuals to reframe and manage their thoughts.
Potential Risks of Lucid Dreaming
While generally safe, lucid dreaming does come with a few risks as well:
Mixing Dream Memories with Reality Long-term lucid dreamers might occasionally confuse dream memories with real ones, creating false memories. This issue is rare and preventable by maintaining a dream journal and avoiding lucid dreaming about real-life people or places too frequently.
Escapism Using lucid dreaming to escape reality can be problematic if it interferes with your daily life. While it is sometimes beneficial to escape and relieve the stress of reality, relying on lucid dreaming for happiness can hinder personal growth and productivity.
Feeling Tired After Lucid Dreaming Some people report feeling tired after lucid dreaming. This tiredness is not due to the dreams themselves but often results from not getting enough sleep or using techniques that disrupt sleep patterns. Taking breaks and ensuring adequate sleep can prevent this.
Mental Exhaustion Lucid dreaming can be mentally taxing if practiced excessively without breaks. It’s important to balance lucid dreaming with regular sleep to avoid mental fatigue.
Lucid dreaming is safe and beneficial if done with caution. It has many benefits, such as overcoming fear and improving mental health, and minimal risks. There are many resources and tutorials available for those interested in trying it.
Astronism, Cosmism and Cosmodeism: the space religions espousing the doctrine...Cometan
This lecture created by Brandon Taylorian (aka Cometan) specially for the CESNUR Conference held Bordeaux in June 2024 provides a brief introduction to the legacy of religious and philosophical thought that Astronism emerges from, namely the discourse on transcension started assuredly by the Cosmists in Russia in the mid-to-late nineteenth century and then carried on and developed by Mordecai Nessyahu in Cosmodeism in the twentieth century. Cometan also then provides some detail on his story in founding Astronism in the early twenty-first century from 2013 along with details on the central Astronist doctrine of transcension. Finally, the lecture concludes with some contributions made by space religions and space philosophy and their influences on various cultural facets in art, literature and film.

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye
transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye
may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and
perfect, will of God.
Rom 12:2
Watch your thoughts for they become words, watch your words for
they become actions, watch your actions for they become habits,
watch your habits for they become your character. And watch your
character for it become your destiny! What we think we become.

7. 1. BE HONEST ABOUT YOUR PAIN
When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my
roaring all the day long. For day and night thy hand was
heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought
of summer. I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine
iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my
transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgave the
iniquity of my sin. Selah.
Psalm 32:3-5
"Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for
another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent
prayer of a righteous man availes much.“
James 5:16,

9. 2. FREE THOSE WHO HAVE HURT YOU
Do not pay anyone back evil for evil, but focus your
thoughts on what is right in the sight of all people. If
possible, so far as it depends on you, live in peace with
all people. Do not take revenge, dear fiends, but leave
room for God's wrath. For it is written, "Vengeance
belongs to me. I will pay them back, declares the Lord."
Romans 12:17-19
See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of God
and that no bitter root grows up and causes you
trouble, or many of you will become defiled.
Hebrews 12:15
10.
11. 2. REPLACE OLD WAYS OF THINKING
WITH GOD’S TRUTH
Do not be conformed to this world, but continually be
transformed by the renewing of your minds so that you
may be able to determine what God's will is-what is
proper, pleasing, and perfect.
Romans 12:2
Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the
world, that we should be holy and
without blame before Him in love.
Ephesians 1:4
12.
13. 4. FOCUS IN THE FUTURE
Brothers, I do not consider myself to have embraced it.
But this one thing I do: Forgetting what lies behind and
straining forward to what lies ahead, I keep pursuing
the goal to win the prize of God's heavenly call in Christ
Jesus.
Philippians 3:13,14
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation;
old things have passed away; behold, all things have
become new.
