2. Mama has taken advice about the household
diet and has decided that the family should eat
more beans.
3. She sends Edward on his bicycle to buy beans at the
market.
He is fast and willing. However there is no carrier on
the bicycle and Edward is not a good shopper.
He buys beans which are mouldy and expensive and on
the way back he falls off, loses half the beans and hurts
his knee.

Mildred. She is slow but capable. She brings
back 10 kg of good beans.
