Business ethics examines the ethical principles and problems that can arise in a business environment. It applies to all aspects of business conduct and is relevant to individuals and entire organizations. There are three main areas of ethics: meta-ethics concerns logical questions about concepts like freedom and determinism; normative ethics establishes standards to judge actions as right or wrong; and applied ethics uses insights from the other areas to address specific ethical issues and cases in professional fields. Business ethics focuses on maintaining integrity and respect among employees while meeting responsibilities to customers, shareholders, and society.
