Rachel Ison volunteered at the Parque Marino del Pacifico marine park in Puntarenas, Costa Rica to become a more independent traveler, improve her Spanish fluency, and learn about the impact of marine wildlife on Costa Rican culture and tourism. She worked with the park's maintenance and care staff, helping them care for the park. Through her volunteer work, she achieved her goals of increasing her Spanish skills, cultural knowledge, confidence, and understanding of the relationship between marine life and Costa Rica.

The sixth TPM & third LTTA meeting took place in Tenerife, Spain with participants from Greece, Italy, Cyprus, Austria, Portugal, and Spain. Over four days, the group visited cultural and historical sites in Santa Cruz including the Museum of Nature and Man and Island Government building. They also toured El Teide National Park learning about geology and life skills from guides. The group visited the largest cheese factory on Tenerife and Siam Park Water Park to learn about various jobs. The visit concluded with a typical class observation, song recording about life and job skills, and a farewell party.
My summer diary_vladislav_nikolov
Vladislav Nikolov Vasilev wrote about his summer diary. For his birthday, he received a bike and celebrated with his parents and friends at a restaurant. He then took a boat trip to the island of Cabrera where he visited sites like the castle and beaches and saw fish and an octopus in the water. Later in August, he took a ferry to Menorca and visited places like S'Arenal d'en Castell, Maon where he saw the old market, and Fornells, known for its lobster stew. He spent time exploring different parts of Menorca before returning to Mallorca.
