Presented by BizDojo Regional Manager Paul Swift at the Corenet Global Talk and Tour, this presentation focussed on the work that went into the opening of coworking space BizDojo Market Lane. The presentation also touches on the BizDojo approach to connection and community and how this drives all areas of the business from experience through to spatial design.

been home to
the likes of
fisher and co,

the nz film commission
and xero.
5. but a cool
building does
not make a
successful
coworking space.
6. so, what did we do?
we kept the bones of this building
and focussed on creating
an interior and experience
that supported
what our residents do.

some folks call this user led design, we tend to just call it
common sense. we know how our residents work, because
we work shoulder to shoulder with them every day.
our spaces reflect what our residents need and we constantly
iterate to make sure those needs are met.

9. taking our
designs +
making
them real
is a team
thing
in-house design:
our in-house design team are made up of experts in
everything from project management and spatial
design through to workflow, user experience and
psychology. we take all our years
of Dojo experience into future spaces and are able to
tailor those spaces ongoing as our residents need.
great partnerships:
we look at working with suppliers as a collaborative act
or partnership. we admire their expertise and together
we are able to create spaces that highlight their, and our
strongest points. great examples of this is the work
we have done hand in hand with folks like haworth by
europlan and vidacom.
our residents:
we listen to them and their feedback, and we empower
our entire team with the basic spatial planning skills
needed to keep our community happy.
10. coworking @ BizDojo
is not just about renting
a desk in a shared space.
it is about connection, community
and collaboration.
our spatial design feeds into our purpose:
11. we have seen
how powerful
working amongst
a diverse and
engaged
community
can be.
12. which means
when we talk about the
build process, it’s not
just about building a
space like this one.
