This document provides information and advice about successful marriages. It defines marriage as the relationship between a husband and wife. It lists 5 reasons not to marry the one you love, such as to escape one's family of origin or to legitimize sex. The document advises considering whether the person would make a good parent and what others say about them before marrying. People should also consider finances, careers, savings and insurance before marrying. The secret to a lifelong successful marriage is compatibility, never hoping to change one's partner, and looking at who they are on the inside.
The document discusses the differences between a soul mate and an eternal companion. A soul mate is described as one's "other half" that they expect to have no problems or hardships with, which is an unrealistic fantasy. An eternal companion is a spouse someone is willing to change and endure hardship for to have an eternal marriage bond. Effective ways to have an equal, sacred eternal companion relationship include drawing closer to God, including Him in the relationship, and obtaining His perspective. Forgiveness, repentance, and enduring hard times or "crucibles" can help heal and strengthen marriages. Keeping temple covenants is essential to having an eternal family.
This document discusses relationships in 3 parts - relationship with yourself, relationship with others, and relationship with God. It focuses on developing healthy relationships by looking inward at one's own well-being, outward to connect with others, and upward to strengthen one's faith. The document concludes with a prayer.

The document discusses relationship trends in modern society and the importance of commitment. It notes that the nuclear family is no longer the norm and many singles are settling for irregular relationships without commitment. However, irregular relationships do not provide long-term benefits or vitality compared to committed relationships. The document encourages committing to improve oneself and one's relationship through addressing insecurities and issues.
The document discusses God's desire to restore a faithful relationship with his wandering spouse through confrontation, correction, and ultimately restoration. It describes how God employs punishment lovingly to get the attention of the wayward bride and humble her, after which he will renew his efforts to win back her heart. The goal is for the bride and groom to be reconnected in a loving relationship.
1) The document discusses a celebration called "Blessing 2000" held by the Family Federation for World Peace to strengthen families and promote world peace through strengthening marriage and family ties.
2) It emphasizes that love begins in the family and expands out from there, and that family harmony provides the foundation for a peaceful world.
3) The ceremony called "The Blessing" is described as dedicating marriages to God and affirming a commitment to eternal love and service, with the goal of uniting 400 million people worldwide through strengthening family values.
This 5-week program is designed to help strengthen any marriage. It focuses on helping couples transition from a "Doom Cycle" to a "Bloom Cycle" by committing to and cultivating the key nutrients needed to make their marriage flourish. The document outlines the five key nutrients as commit to love, cherish and respect, be gracious and forgive, choose the right words, and seek a greater purpose. It emphasizes that truly committing to sacrificial love on a daily, yearly and seasonal basis is essential to blooming, and provides homework for couples to draft a commitment plan along these lines to work on over the next six weeks.

God's design for marriage is meant to work best when followed. Applying God's word to any marriage can lead to amazing results and improve the relationship. The primary purpose of marriage is to reflect God's image as shown through the relationship of Christ and the church.
This document discusses the importance of keeping promises and living a life of promise. It explores the concept of promise and covenant in biblical terms, looking at God's promises to Noah, Abraham, and Moses. It suggests that making and keeping promises is at the core of who we are. The document asks what promises define our lives and what promises we are willing to make to our community and to God. It outlines the author's role and promises as rector, to preach with clarity, guide the community pragmatically and listen for trouble.
The document discusses maintaining integrity in relationships and family life. It emphasizes upholding God's word and seeking His kingdom first. To build integrity, it recommends open communication, modeling godly behavior, spending time together in prayer and Bible study, and cultivating an environment of love, honesty and forgiveness. Challenges like compromise, live-in relationships and divorce damage integrity, while repentance, confession and continued obedience can lead to reconciliation.
There are numerous 'Christian' families where - while not perfect - they strive to live to the glory of God. But, what of families where there are one (or a small minority) who live with members that care nothing about the Lord? What can be done to help this family become biblically blessed?
1. Marriage is a lifelong commitment that requires serious consideration and effort.
2. A marriage built on God's love and principles can withstand challenges if both partners prioritize their relationship with God and each other over all others.
3. Factors like lack of growth, vision, self-worth, communication and involvement of outsiders can negatively impact marriage, so couples must work together towards Christ-centered intimacy and unity.
This document outlines principles for building redemptive relationships in order to bring others to Christ. It discusses that God wants a relationship with humanity and that soulwinning, or bringing others to faith, helps bring them into God's kingdom. It defines atonement as reconciliation with God and soulwinning as "horizontal love." It provides six principles for building redemptive relationships: be proactive, refuse masks, identify common ground, demonstrate God's love, acknowledge feelings and fears, and expect God to use you. The overall message is that relationships are important for fulfilling God's mission and bringing others to faith.

RFP for Reno's Community Assistance CenterThis Is Reno
Property appraisals completed in May for downtown Reno’s Community Assistance and Triage Centers (CAC) reveal that repairing the buildings to bring them back into service would cost an estimated $10.1 million—nearly four times the amount previously reported by city staff.
Working with data is a challenge for many organizations. Nonprofits in particular may need to collect and analyze sensitive, incomplete, and/or biased historical data about people. In this talk, Dr. Cori Faklaris of UNC Charlotte provides an overview of current AI capabilities and weaknesses to consider when integrating current AI technologies into the data workflow. The talk is organized around three takeaways: (1) For better or sometimes worse, AI provides you with “infinite interns.” (2) Give people permission & guardrails to learn what works with these “interns” and what doesn’t. (3) Create a roadmap for adding in more AI to assist nonprofit work, along with strategies for bias mitigation.
Combined Illegal, Unregulated and Unreported (IUU) Vessel List.Christina Parmionova
The best available, up-to-date information on all fishing and related vessels that appear on the illegal, unregulated, and unreported (IUU) fishing vessel lists published by Regional Fisheries Management Organisations (RFMOs) and related organisations. The aim of the site is to improve the effectiveness of the original IUU lists as a tool for a wide variety of stakeholders to better understand and combat illegal fishing and broader fisheries crime.
To date, the following regional organisations maintain or share lists of vessels that have been found to carry out or support IUU fishing within their own or adjacent convention areas and/or species of competence:
Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR)
Commission for the Conservation of Southern Bluefin Tuna (CCSBT)
General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM)
Inter-American Tropical Tuna Commission (IATTC)
International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT)
Indian Ocean Tuna Commission (IOTC)
Northwest Atlantic Fisheries Organisation (NAFO)
North East Atlantic Fisheries Commission (NEAFC)
North Pacific Fisheries Commission (NPFC)
South East Atlantic Fisheries Organisation (SEAFO)
South Pacific Regional Fisheries Management Organisation (SPRFMO)
Southern Indian Ocean Fisheries Agreement (SIOFA)
Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission (WCPFC)
The Combined IUU Fishing Vessel List merges all these sources into one list that provides a single reference point to identify whether a vessel is currently IUU listed. Vessels that have been IUU listed in the past and subsequently delisted (for example because of a change in ownership, or because the vessel is no longer in service) are also retained on the site, so that the site contains a full historic record of IUU listed fishing vessels.
Unlike the IUU lists published on individual RFMO websites, which may update vessel details infrequently or not at all, the Combined IUU Fishing Vessel List is kept up to date with the best available information regarding changes to vessel identity, flag state, ownership, location, and operations.
This report explores the significance of border towns and spaces for strengthening responses to young people on the move. In particular it explores the linkages of young people to local service centres with the aim of further developing service, protection, and support strategies for migrant children in border areas across the region. The report is based on a small-scale fieldwork study in the border towns of Chipata and Katete in Zambia conducted in July 2023. Border towns and spaces provide a rich source of information about issues related to the informal or irregular movement of young people across borders, including smuggling and trafficking. They can help build a picture of the nature and scope of the type of movement young migrants undertake and also the forms of protection available to them. Border towns and spaces also provide a lens through which we can better understand the vulnerabilities of young people on the move and, critically, the strategies they use to navigate challenges and access support.
The findings in this report highlight some of the key factors shaping the experiences and vulnerabilities of young people on the move – particularly their proximity to border spaces and how this affects the risks that they face. The report describes strategies that young people on the move employ to remain below the radar of visibility to state and non-state actors due to fear of arrest, detention, and deportation while also trying to keep themselves safe and access support in border towns. These strategies of (in)visibility provide a way to protect themselves yet at the same time also heighten some of the risks young people face as their vulnerabilities are not always recognised by those who could offer support.
In this report we show that the realities and challenges of life and migration in this region and in Zambia need to be better understood for support to be strengthened and tuned to meet the specific needs of young people on the move. This includes understanding the role of state and non-state stakeholders, the impact of laws and policies and, critically, the experiences of the young people themselves. We provide recommendations for immediate action, recommendations for programming to support young people on the move in the two towns that would reduce risk for young people in this area, and recommendations for longer term policy advocacy.
