•Bathe patients; Provide patients with help moving in and out of beds, baths,
wheelchairs, or automobiles and with dressing and grooming.
•Care for patients by changing bed linens, washing and ironing laundry, cleaning, or
assisting with their personal care.
•Entertain, converse with, or read to patients to keep them mentally healthy and alert.
•Plan, purchase, prepare, or serve meals to patients, according to prescribed diets.
•Check patients' pulse, temperature, and respiration.
•Provide patients with emotional support and instruction in preparing healthy meals,
living independently, and adapting to disability or illness.
•Perform duties as requested by client: obtaining household supplies or running errands.
•Direct patients in simple prescribed exercises or in the use of braces or artificial limbs.
Ability to perform all duties as Cleaner and Janitor, including:
•Service, clean, or supply restrooms; Gather and empty trash.
•Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
•Follow procedures for the use of cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage
•Mix water and detergents to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
•Clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors, using cleaners, sponges, or squeegees.
