Engineering Projects:
Elizabethtown College Wellness Center
Based off of specifications from the Dean of the college, a team of three students was formed to design a wellness
center for the college. This center was to focus on mind, body, and spirit. One of the basic needs was a wellness
wing for guidance counseling and spiritual healing. Other needs included a regulation NCAA track and full
weight room. Along with this we were required to build according to LEED v4 standards. (Green Architecture
Engineering Class)
Sierra Leone Wellness Center
Based off given footprint and resource constrictions, design and construct a wellness center for 50 sites in Sierra
Leone to screen for Ebola patients and act as a primary care facility for patients that do not have the virus. Apply
green design aspects using climate of Sierra Leone and resources that are readily available in the country. Only
given two week deadline to complete and present. (Green Architecture Engineering Class)
Sophomore Project
Research, design, and construct multiple sized elevated dog beds for the Human Leagues of Lancaster and Berks
County. Use internet sources to research other companies making a similar product and keep to a strict budget
that would make the beds competitive in market. Provoked communication skills with a client, as well as
communication within a group atmosphere. (Won most outstanding Sophomore Project)
