WTW Typical Week
 Monday:Teacher demonstrates sort, students cut/sort, write words
in journals and reflects on how the words are alike.
 Homework: Sort words into the categories learned in class. Give
reasons for your sort.
 Tuesday: Independent Sort/Speed Sort & Blind Sort with a partner
 Homework: Do a “Buddy Sort” with a parent or sibling.
 Wednesday:With a buddy, search in books for new words that fit
your sort and write them in your journal (Word Hunt)
 Homework: Hunt for 2-3 new words for each word category and
copy them into your journal.
 Thursday:With a buddy, find synonyms/antonyms for the word sort
words.
 Homework: Study for the word sort quiz.
 Friday: Word Sort Quiz
