3. Proximal & Distal Superficial: On the surface of the
body
Deep: Away from the surface of
the body (Innermost Area)

4.  SUPINE POSITION:
 When the body is lying face up.
 PRONE POSITION:
 When the body is lying face down.

5.  Palmar:
 Commonly used to describe the front of
the hand
 Plantar:
 The surface describes the sole of the heel, foot
or toes.
