To Whom It May Concern,
It is my pleasure to provide a recommendation for Sam Vos. Sam served as an intern for the
Office of Women's Business Ownership from June to August 2016, primarily working to help
oversee our network of Women's Business Centers (WBC). For the quality of his work, I
enthusiastically recommend Mr. Vos to all future employers and academic programs.
Sam distinguished himself during his time with our office. The nature of our work demands
thorough review and analysis to ensure the financial integrity of our programs. Sam assisted
with the review of grant applications and helped ensure the timely deployment of $17 million
in federal grant funds. More importantly, his work has helped identify some potential risks in
the portfolio, thus helping to ensure we are being effective stewards of taxpayer dollars.
As part of his internship, Sam also assisted with conducting analysis on the WBC Program
performance data, updating and populating a success story database, supporting the United
State of Women's conference, and many other duties as assigned. Sam has shown a
noteworthy ability to take on multiple projects, successfully balancing his time according to
deadlines. Whenever his work was completed, he would seek out new opportunities to
develop his experience and assist our team.
Sam's exceptional work ethic, unique critical thinking skills, and positive can-do attitude
were welcomed and appreciated by our office. I am confident that Sam Vos will excel in even
the most demanding professional environments. With Sam's knowledge, skills, and abilities, I
know that he would be an asset to any team. Should you have any questions, you may feel
