To Whom It May Concern,
Robert Freebairn has been recruiting for us for the past two years as a Sr. Recruiter
and our campus recruiting expert. This was a period of high growth, with over 5500
hires per year with a small recruiting team of as low as 6 people, and as many as 10
people at our peak. Every single recruiter needed to pull their weight with such a
small team and high expectations.
Robert was deployed as a sales recruiter for our fastest growing recruiting needs. In
an environment with very few resources and incredibly aggressive goals, Robert
was able to keep up with the demands, and excel as a resource to his leaders.
I appreciated Robert’s ideas and creativity, and found him to be enthusiastic with
new challenges, and easy to work with. Several times, leaders called to thank me for
how he went out of the way to help set up career fairs, and move candidates through
the hiring process. He was someone that could be counted on to find new
candidates, and new avenues to find them.
He was especially helpful as we worked on our campus recruiting efforts both here
and in key locations where our other 50 offices resided. We were able to establish
connections with many schools that assisted us, and he was very strong at creating
long term relationships with those people within educational institutions.
Vivint Solar was a difficult company to be a recruiter, in my opinion. There were
several periods where we had to slow down our growth—during a period we were
getting acquired, and with some significant leadership changes, and during a
complete change to our systems (both HR and recruiting systems). Robert seemed
to roll with the changes, and continue to be unaffected by them. I appreciated his
positive attitude even during the midst of these challenges.
I have enjoyed my association with Robert, and appreciate the many positive
qualities that have made him a difficult asset to lose. Especially with his campus
connections, I don’t doubt he would be an asset to any company. Please feel free to
call me at 801-319-1186 if you have any questions. I wish him the best in his future
endeavors and know other companies will benefit from his valuable skillset.
Sincerely,
Tessa White, Sr. VP of Human Resources
Vivint Solar
