The Teleferic Hotel in Poiana Brașov is a legendary Romanian tourism hotel located at the base of the main ski slope near the cable car. It was closed for 20 years but reopened in 2012 after renovations to become the Teleferic Grand Hotel, offering luxury accommodations and amenities. 2. The Teleferic Hotel in Poiana Braşov is a
legend of Romanian tourism. Its history starts
after 1970 through a building typical for the
classical European mountain hotels, benefiting
from the best location in the VIP mountain resort
of Romania, Poiana Braşov.
Located at the foot of the main ski slope,
near the cable car, the hotel has been called
“Teleferic”. The beautiful view, the easy access to
slopes during winter time or to the mountain trails
during summer played a major role in its rapid
development. Also, the comfort offered by the
modern and welcoming hotel is a reason not easy
to dismiss.
Then it was closed for 20 years until 2012.
Due to the nostalgia and passion of an
enthusiastic person, willing to relive the glory of
the “Teleferic” Hotel, the hotel has come back to
life.
The intention has been to resume the
touristic activity of the Teleferic hotel as a holiday
destination at the foot of the Postăvaru Mountain,
within the walls of a luxury hotel which may yield
unforgettable experiences.
And so, the old building has been revamped
following radical transformations and adjustments
typical for the 21st century. The Teleferic Grand
Hotel was reborn to offer a delightful experience
to its tourists.
