Design of wind turbine foundations
Based in Dinard (Brittany,France) with subsidiaries in Germany (Freiburg im Breisgau),Poland
(Warsaw), Portugal (Lisbon), Brazil (Porto Alegre) and Vietnam (Hanoi), CTE Wind Civil
Engineering is an experienced design office specializing in the analysis and design of
onshore wind turbine foundations. We propose the following services for our clients:
Assistance,consulting and expertise
Preliminary and final designs
Static and dynamic analyses
Research of economical and optimized foundations
Seismic analyses
Site inspections for reinforcement
Our designs are adapted to the geotechnical reports and respect the criteria of
manufacturers, the requirements of the clients as well as the standards both of the country
concerned and specific to the wind energy sector.
We have found foundation shapes that result in a better formwork and make transportation
and positioning of reinforcements easier so that we can propose to our clients foundations
which are economical, optimized but still reliable.
Our know-how
Facts and figures :
Participation in the design of up to 670 wind
farms in France and abroad

Photovoltaic
For photovoltaic systems (PV) on the ground CTE has developped an expertise in the design
of the foundations and the verification of the supporting steel structure for the PV panels.
We provide expertise in the design of foundations for all types of ground-based photovoltaic
panel projects.
Our studies are adapted to the geotechnical conditions of the site and to the connection
system of the steel structure.
We also take into account the local and international standards as well as specific guidelines
which can be applied to large fields with photovoltaic structures.
We have worked for several clients, installing different types of trackers and modifiable struc-
tures on difficult terrain and old landfills.
