departments of education began
pursuing world language learning for
K-12 students.
• Over the years, VIF has placed
thousands of international teachers in
K-12 classrooms across the United
States as a designated U.S.
Department of State Exchange Visitor
Program sponsor.
• The organization continues to be
committed to cultural exchange and
supports international teachers’
success in the classroom

• For U.S. teachers, this opportunity
involves a year or semester of direct
exchange with a counterpart in
another country teaching the same
subject at the same level.
• 30 countries including the
Philippines currently participate in
the Fulbright teacher exchange
program which varies from year to
year
• The current list of countries does
not include the Philippines for the

week and another school for another

• Observe teaching in the said

principals, teachers, former exchange
participants, parents and retired
teachers.
