OVERVIEW My extensive career as a financial information and publishing professional
has given me a deep understanding of the global financial markets. I also
have a high level of experience with all kinds of media and platforms, and
have helped manage S&P Global’s transition to an online product lineup
from print.
At S&P Global, my responsibilities encompassed content management,
product development, and project management, while maintaining the
highest editorial standards and consistency. I directed, on a global basis,
the content on RatingsDirect, a $300 million-plus real-time Web product
and social media like Twitter, LinkedIn, and an iPhone app. I was also the
Managing Editor for Insights, the online quarterly successor to
CreditWeek, for which I was also the Managing Editor. In addition, I
determined the content for a 25,000-plus subscriber newsletter,
CreditMatters Today, as well as managed content on spratings.com. I also
managed, selected, formatted, and otherwise developed the images for
Standard & Poor’s 50,000-image library that appear on their products.
I managed the team that tests enhancements for a global online publishing
management system. I was a member of member of many cross-functional
teams, and represented editorial for online and print products on a global
technology operations committee. In addition, I helped launch a Web
version of CreditWeek.
I worked and coordinated with analytical, marketing, communications,
technology and development, and design and production staff on a daily
basis. Understanding financial information, analyzing issues, and
developing creative solutions was a key portion of my responsibilities.
For six years at Moody’s Investors Service, I helped develop their
financial database. When transferred to Moody’s Charlotte, NC office, I
developed the teams that derived financial data from annual and quarterly
SEC filings for U.S. companies, and annual reports from companies
globally that used their domestic accounting presentations. In addition, I
helped develop the categorization of their financial data. Ultimately, these
data formed the basis for Moody’s financial publications, which I helped
write and edit.

EXPERIENCE MANAGING EDITOR S&P GLOBAL
1996-2016
In this role, I began as a freelancer, became a copy editor, and rose to
become a Managing Editor. Responsible for managing content across a
variety of media covering the universe of business sectors, coordinating
editorial efforts with other publishing hubs worldwide. Directed the
content on the RatingsDirect, social media, and newsletter CreditMatters
Today, and managed a quarterly magazine, Insights, on the global fixed-
income markets and industry participants. Acted as product representative
on our global technology operations committee. Maintained editorial
focus on our premier online product, RatingsDirect, coached and trained
associates, developed publishing tools with our technology staff, and
wrote and edited for our online product and weekly magazine.
My accomplishments included several Gold and Silver ACE Awards,
which signified completion of products and projects that enhanced
business results. I was also awarded several Publishing Council awards,
which reflected high achievements in developing cutting-edge research.
QUALITYASSURANCE EDITOR MOODY’S INVESTORS SERVICE
1989-1995
In this role, I began as a data entry associate, and eventually achieved the
level of Quality Assurance Editor. Responsibilities included:
Wrote and edited the financial information and securities descriptions
published in Moody’s electronic and print products, i.e., Moody’s CD-
ROM product, Moody’s Manuals, News Reports, and Handbooks. Duties
included:
Supervising the daily activities of Associate Editors and Business
Analysts;
Recruiting, training, and supervising temporary associates during
peak business cycles
Developing and conducting courses for quality improvement; and
Writing, composing, and editing Moody’s weekly News Reports.
