Consumer brands need to work with startups to innovate their marketing approaches or risk becoming obsolete. There are five key reasons why partnering with startups benefits large consumer packaged goods companies: 1) Startups have historically been the main drivers of innovation; 2) Partnering allows companies to take on low risks by testing new ideas; 3) Startups provide diversity of ideas that companies could not generate internally; 4) Partnering allows companies to be first movers adopting new technologies; 5) Startup culture fosters innovation that large companies can learn from.
