Welcome to the WWU-FIMRC
Branding Guide
Introduction:
The purpose of Western’s Foundation for International Medical Relief of Children’s
(FIMRC WWU) branding guide is to help us establish a consistent identity by which
students and community members will view us.
Our target audience is anyone within the Whatcom community that is passionate about
giving back to children. While we are most visible to Western students, we hope to
expand in order to include other local students and community members. The purpose
of this guide is to implement a unified and visible brand as an Associated Student group,
while providing guidelines regarding how our message is to be delivered.
About:
We seek to provide help for children both internationally and locally by combining
fundraising for FIMRC with hands on work in the Whatcom communtiy. Children are the
World’s future, and we are passionate about the opportunity to provide a helping hand
through a number of different avenues. We feel a strong sense of responsibility when it
comes to providing a helping hand, and we want to share that with our community.

Section One
Branding Position
Our Brand:
FIMRC-WWU is a chapter of the national nonprofit organization Foundation for
International Medical Relief of Children. FIMRC-WWU is committed to improving the
health care of not only children all around the globe, but those in Western’s backyard as
well. FIMRC-WWU is focused on reaching out to Whatcom County through local programs
and events targeted at bettering the overall health of the community. The club also raises
money to put towards the purchase of basic medical needs to send to one of FIMRC’s
clinics abroad.
FIMRC-WWU aims to impact the community in a personal and compassionate way
through volunteering. FIMRC-WWU believes that healthcare is a global right and that
every child deserves to be healthy. The club is focused on improving the quality of
Bellingham’s children just as much as other kids all around the globe.
Our Position:
FIMRC-WWU’s mission is to provide a place where students can give back and build
character while serving a bigger purpose. The club wants to be a part of the community
while improving it for current and future citizens. FIMRC-WWU aims to educate everyone
who is involved with the club personally and reach out to those who do not know about
the organization and the mission.

Section Two
Branding Personality
Our personality:
The Foundation for International Medical Relief of Children is an organization that could
be categorized with other organizations like UNICEF and Save The Children.
However, FIMRC-WWU’s unique personality is shown through the types of activities and
events that were prepared, in order to raise funds.
Our personality is presented by some of our favorite events:
● Sending Halloween goodie-bags to the PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center
●  Volunteering at the Blood Drive on Western Washington University’s campus
●  Volunteering for the Girl’s on the Run marathon, an organization that inspire girls
to be confident and healthy.
By being involved in these activities and interacting with our local children at Whatcom
County, our personality embodies:
● Creativity
● Thoughtfulness
● Health
● Encouragement
● Power
● Passion

Similar to our personality, we invite and encourage people of all ages to gain knowledge
of public health and aid to our volunteering efforts. The language we use are
encouraging, straightforward, and sincere.
FIMRC-WWU constantly looks for ways to gain new members across Western Washington
University’s campus, but also being involved with the local community in hopes to impact
a child’s life. Each message that we as a chapter frame to the public, is a clear and concise
