• There are a lot of techniques or strategies to apply during
the learning process, but none of them implies to
stimulate our complete body through the brain for a better
understanding.
What´s the brain gym?
• Brain Gym is a simple and enjoyable set of
movements which are used with the children in
order to enhance their experience of the whole
brain learning.
• It has a program of 26 physical movements,
developed in the 1970’s through the work of
educators Dr. Paul & Gail Denninson.
• These activities are designed to integrate body and
mind and develop:
Concentration
Memory
Reading
Writing Listening
Physical
coordination
Exercises:
Positive points
Touch the point
above each eye
halfway.
Between the
hairline and the
eyes with fingertips
Close your eyes
and breathe slowly
for a few seconds.
Gravity Glider
Sit in a chair, bring
your legs out in front
of you and cross at
the ankles.
Take a deep breath in
and exhale slowly
lean forward, arms
stretching towards
the feet.
Conclusion:
• It´s important that teachers give children the opportunity
of a fun and a complete way of learning; leaving
conventional resources. Using the imagination and body
as a unique and only resource to relax and learn.
