1) Chronic diseases like cancer, heart disease, and mental disorders impose huge financial costs in Australia, totaling over $105 billion annually, yet only 2% is spent on prevention.
2) Childhood health issues are also increasingly common, with 1 in 4 children being overweight or obese, and 1 in 5 suffering from chronic illnesses or conditions like asthma, ADHD, or food allergies.
3) Spinal subluxations, which occur in 80% of births due to traumatic delivery, can cause nerve interference throughout life if not corrected, leading to abnormal function, behavior, and increased risk of early death. Maintaining a healthy, aligned spine through chiropractic care is important for lifelong health
Fibromyalgia is a disorder characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain accompanied by fatigue, sleep issues, and mood problems. Researchers believe fibromyalgia amplifies pain signals by affecting how the brain processes pain. Symptoms sometimes begin after physical trauma, surgery or stress. While there is no cure, medications and exercise can help control symptoms. Women are more likely to be affected, and fibromyalgia is often accompanied by headaches, digestive issues, anxiety or depression.

This document discusses several topics related to brain health and disease. It provides information on brain facts such as weight and calorie/oxygen consumption. It then discusses Parkinson's disease and links it to toxicities like pesticides and deficiencies like decreased folate. Folate deficiency is specifically linked to increased vulnerability of dopamine neurons. The document also discusses various medications that can cause toxicity and deficiencies leading to conditions like dementia. Overall, it emphasizes the importance of nutrition, avoiding toxins, and considers alternative perspectives on conditions like hypertension.
Alzheimer's disease is an irreversible, progressive brain disease that slowly destroys memory and thinking skills. It is the most common cause of dementia among those aged 65 and older, with around 4.5 million current cases in the US. By 2050, that number is expected to rise to 13.2 million without effective treatments. Alzheimer's disease causes beta-amyloid plaques and neurofibrillary tangles to build up in the brain, slowly destroying neurons, especially in the hippocampus and cerebral cortex. While symptoms usually appear after age 60, the changes in the brain may begin 10-20 years earlier. Currently available drugs can temporarily slow symptoms but do not stop or reverse the progression of the disease. Researchers continue to study
Symptoms of macular degeneration can create a scary issue. Age-related macular degeneration average age of development varies, but one thing is certain regardless of age--there is still hope. Treatment of macular degeneration is explored in this presentation.

1) A brain tumor is an abnormal growth of cells within the brain that causes problems due to the rigid skull surrounding the brain. There are many different types of brain tumors that can be cancerous (malignant) or non-cancerous (benign).
2) Symptoms of a brain tumor depend on its location in the brain and can include headaches, nausea, vision changes, and impaired motor or cognitive functioning. Diagnosis involves scans and biopsy while treatment involves surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, or other palliative therapies.
3) Physiotherapy plays an important role in managing brain tumor patients by setting functional goals, addressing weakness, fatigue and mobility impairments through customized exercise programs to improve quality of life.
This document discusses the importance of sleep, particularly deep sleep and REM sleep, for health and well-being. It notes that REM sleep is essential for tissue repair and memory consolidation. Short and long-term sleep deprivation can increase stress hormones, inflammation, and risk of various chronic diseases. While sleep medications may help with sleep onset, they do not facilitate deep sleep or REM sleep. The optimal window for sleep is between 11PM-1AM.
The document discusses gene therapy as a potential treatment for various neurological disorders, describing how gene therapy works and the types of gene therapy products being studied. It also examines several specific neurological disorders like Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and Huntington's disease, and explores the role of physical therapy in treating the symptoms and slowing the progression of these conditions.
Cognitive therapy aims to change negative and unrealistic thoughts that cause depression through supportive counseling and problem solving. However, recent evidence suggests pharmacotherapy may be superior for moderate to severe depression. Electroconvulsive therapy is an intense procedure often used as a last resort for severe depression when patients are suicidal, as it is highly effective but can cause memory issues. Psychopharmacological therapy uses antidepressant drugs, which the NIMH study found were highly effective for severe depression compared to placebo, though they only treat symptoms and not underlying issues like cognitive therapy aims to. Each treatment targets depression differently based on severity and has pros and cons.
The document compares and contrasts three major treatments for Major Depressive Disorder: cognitive therapy, electroconvulsive therapy, and psychopharmacological therapy. Cognitive therapy aims to change negative and unrealistic thoughts through counseling and problem-solving techniques. Electroconvulsive therapy is often a last resort for severe cases, as it is an intense medical procedure that can cause memory issues. Psychopharmacological therapy uses antidepressant drugs, which the National Institute of Mental Health study found highly effective for severe depression. Each treatment targets depression differently, through changing thought patterns, stimulating the brain, or altering biological functioning.
Supercharge your brain and ditch anxiety and depression for good!Patients Medical

It summarizes various therapies including magnetic therapy, acupressure, ozone baths, infrared saunas, foot detox, biofeedback, and quantum resonance analysis. The center claims these therapies can help with issues like joint pain, fatigue, brain fog, sleep problems, immunity, and more. Testimonials are provided praising the benefits patients experienced from magnetic therapy and other treatments for back pain, stress, foot pain, and swollen feet.
- Alzheimer's disease is a progressive brain disease that destroys memory and thinking skills, and is the most common cause of dementia among older adults.
- The disease is caused by beta-amyloid plaques and neurofibrillary tangles that build up in the brain, and it slowly spreads and causes shrinkage of affected brain regions over time.
- Researchers are studying the causes of Alzheimer's including genetics, lifestyle factors, and are searching for improved treatments through clinical trials and drug research to stop the progression and symptoms of the disease.
This document summarizes the potential dangers of Ritalin use for ADHD and alternatives to consider. It notes that Ritalin use has increased dramatically but carries serious health risks like increased cancer risk. Side effects can include rapid heart rate, high blood pressure, and depression. Long term effects may include neural system issues and decreased ability to experience pleasure. The document also discusses how chiropractic care may help address ADHD symptoms by correcting structural misalignments in the upper cervical spine that can disrupt brain stem function and cause issues like hyperactivity and inability to focus. Chiropractic aims to improve sensory input to the brain stem in order to improve neurological output and function.
Conn's syndrome, also known as primary hyperaldosteronism, refers to excessive production of the hormone aldosterone from the adrenal glands, resulting in low renin levels. This causes high blood pressure, hypokalemia, and metabolic alkalosis. Symptoms include fatigue, muscle weakness, headaches, and vision problems. Diagnosis involves measuring aldosterone and renin levels. Treatment options include medications that block aldosterone like spironolactone, or surgical removal of an adrenal tumor if present. Left untreated, complications of Conn's syndrome can include heart attack, stroke, kidney failure, and abnormal heart rhythms.
This document discusses how the nervous system controls and regulates every system in the body. It explains how problems with the nervous system can lead to issues like neuropathy, heart/blood pressure problems, digestive issues, hormone imbalances, and more. It emphasizes looking at the whole person and nervous system rather than just symptoms. Maintaining a healthy nervous system involves diet, exercise, rest, and chiropractic care to allow the body to function properly.
Basic introduction to the emotional freedom technique presenter powerpointEvolutionWellness
The document introduces the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) as a method for addressing emotional "short circuits" that disrupt normal energy flow through the body's meridian system based on Eastern philosophy. It provides evidence that EFT reduced anxiety and normalized brain wave patterns in patients with generalized anxiety disorder. The document also discusses how EFT may allow stored emotions to release and restore energetic balance, which can positively impact cellular processes related to health conditions.
The document describes the regenerative medicine clinic of Dr. David Steenblock, who pioneers the use of bone marrow stem cell therapy and other treatments. The clinic offers bone marrow stem cell harvesting and intravenous infusions to treat various conditions such as Parkinson's disease, stroke, heart disease, and aging. The document outlines complementary therapies used at the clinic including hyperbaric oxygen therapy, laser therapy, electromagnetic therapy and more. It provides several patient examples and research on the benefits of stem cell therapy for various diseases and anti-aging.

linebacker suffering from
CTE – no treatment helped
and he became suicidal
before finding PBM

“It’s groundbreaking, there’s no other
word to describe it,” he says. “It just
seems to reset the brain. The only side
effect is I’m stronger and in better shape
than I’ve ever been.”

16. PBM Works At 3 Levels:
16
HOW DOES PBM WORK?
1. Molecular level - mitochondria, ATP, chromophores
2. Cellular level - reduced inflammation and increased circulation
3. Tissue level - pain relief, hair growth, nerve repair, wound
healing, improved brain function
17. ❖ Mitochondria are where the cell generates energy.
❖ They are most concentrated in the brain, heart, liver, skin,
muscles.
❖ They contain chemicals that act as light receptors - such
as the protein complex Cytochrome c oxidase

EFFECT OF PBM
AT THE MOLECULAR LEVEL
17
20. ❖ Red and Near InfraRed light stimulates the release of
adenosine triphosphate (ATP).
❖ ATP is the major carrier of energy to all cells.
❖ Increases in ATP allow cells to accept nutrients faster and
get rid of waste products faster by increasing the energy
level in the cell.
❖ The increase in ATP comes from the absorption of light by
the protein complex Cytochrome C Oxidase.
INCREASED ATP IN THE MITOCHONDRIA
LEADS TO ENERGY PRODUCTION
20
21. INCREASED CIRCULATION
PBM causes vasodilation and increases blood flow (circulation) to nerves, muscles and organs
including the brain
❖ Dilates existing blood vessels
❖ Increases formation of NEW capillaries.
❖ Increases NUTRIENT transport to all tissues.
❖ Increases lymphatic system activity
❖ Increased transport of OXYGEN to the cells
❖ Decrease in blood pressure
❖ REMOVAL of waste products
❖ Stimulate the production of collagen essential for repairing
damaged tissue

These Brain Scan Images Show How Using PBM For 6 Weeks, 3
Times Per Week Leads To Increased Blood Flow To The Brain.
25. ❖ Shining Red light and Near InfraRed light onto cells
seems to create a short, low-dose metabolic stress
that builds up the anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant and
cell defense systems of the cell.
❖ This makes the body stronger and more resilient.

26. FOR THE
PREVENTATIVE
PROGRAM - PBM IS
APPLIED THREE TIMES
PER WEEK TO THE
HEAD AREA.
Near-infrared (NIR) light exerts a protective effect
on neurons:
1. The direct action of NIR light on the cells,
improving mitochondrial function, reducing
inflammation, and helping the brain to repair
itself.
2. NIR can trigger a systemic response
involving circulating molecules such as
stimulation of immune cells which protect the
brain, plus a reduction in neuroinflammation
3. Stimulation of bone-marrow-derived stem
cells
PREVENTION PROGRAM - BRAIN
HEALTH
27. 27
❖ Mitochondria produce more energy.
❖ Decreased neuroinflammation.
❖ Increased resiliency by applying a very low level stressor that the body can
adjust to (hormesis).
❖ Epigenetic changes so better proteins are produced and over production of
damaging proteins halted
❖ Increased circulation of blood flow
PBM: REDUCING AND PREVENTING DEMENTIA SYMPTOMS
Summary of the effects of PBM on the brain.
28. PAIN REDUCTION
❖ Depression and anxiety are heightened when physical pain
is present.
❖ Reducing pain has a huge effect on the quality of life.
❖ Red light reduces pain and inflammation in the body at the
same time as the Near InfraRed is healing the brain.
❖ Using this therapy, we can address multiple health issues at
the same time - improving health outcomes significantly.

WHY THE NEUROCARE PRO PULSED LIGHT MEDICAL SYSTEM IS
THE BEST CHOICE
34. 34
SIMPLE PROTOCOL
❖ The therapy will be administered at the clinic.
❖ The LED pads are placed on 4 areas and must be in
contact with the skin:
Head top of spine
Gut/abdomen
Over shin bones
❖ The controller is turn on to a set frequency for a duration
of 20 minutes per session.
❖ The sessions are 3 times per week in clinic and as much
as 7 days 2 twice a day for home use (excluding brain
care)
35. The therapy is painless and comfortable.
You will be seated, and light pads will be placed over your
head and shins. The lights will be on for around 20 mins
per session. You will see the red light, but infrared light is
invisible to the human eye
❖ Pain relief
❖ Better sleep
❖ Better memory
❖ Clearer thinking
❖ Feeling relaxed
❖ More energy
❖ Mood changes – to feel some resistance to change is normal!
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE THERAPY SESSIONS
35
36. Is it safe?
Yes, there are no known side effects of PBM.
When will it be recognized by the FDA as a treatment?
Studies are underway at this time to present the evidence.
Can it prevent symptoms of dementia as well as resolve symptoms?
Yes – evidence shows PBM can support brain health and so it may prevent
neurodegeneration.
How often should the light therapy be applied
For at least 20 mins three times a week.
