Action Plan – Boxing Day Sales Event 2009
(Computers, Home Theater, Digital Imaging, Media, Gaming & Automotive Department)
- Training and understanding the strength & weaknesses of each employee
Everyone has to finish the e-learning modules to maintain the goal (No.1 store in the company
for the month of December with great quality) by providing complete & valid information
about the products & services to the customers and exceed their expectation. Moreover,
understand the new team mate’s strength and weaknesses to assign them an area where they can
get the complete solution (Every Customer Every Time). Ultimately, achieve or exceed One-
Million Dollars sales target in a day with 100% customer satisfaction.
- Proper Zoning & Task Management
Senior Sales Executives & Business Professional’s Sale Team will be zoned in the big ticket
item’s area (Televisions, Laptops, Desktops, Mac Computers, Blu-ray / CD / DVD Players,
Digital Camera’s / Camcorders, Ipods, MP3 Players, Gaming & Automotive etc.) and other Sales
Associates will cover small ticket item’s areas (Networking products, External Hard Drives,
Speakers, Webcams & Mics, Printers, Inks, Scanners Monitors, Sound Cards, GPS, Cables, CD’s
& DVD’s etc) to follow 10/30 role with welcoming attitude. Moreover, they will explain the
Best Buy differences and provide complete information & presentation about the product and
services (Product Service Plan / Extended Warranties, Accessories, Loyalty Cards and TrueBlue
Customer Service Evaluation). Also, stacking, merchandising and group presentations in assigned
areas is the main focus. On the other side, all twenty cash registers will be up & running,
managed by the Customer Service Supervisors. However, the Return & Exchange counters will
be closed till Dec, 28th
/ 2010.
- Geek Squad Technical Sales (In-store & In-home technical service department)
Geek squad technical team will also synchronize with the Computers, Televisions and
Automotive sales teams to do car-wash sales and provide the information about the
prepackages / pre-setups on the laptops, desktops, routers to achieve the Geek squad in-store
and in-home budget.
- Clearance & Gone-when-Gone items
We will get a best chance to get rid all clearance & Gone-When-Gone items from the store by
providing the competitive price on the product and services (PSP and Geek Squad Services). It
will help the department to decrease the clearance numbers, increase the Product Service Plan
and new PC attach ratio on the score card.
- Product Service Plan and Accessories
In December, our focus in to increase the PSP to minimum 10% (No.1 on the score card) and
attach minimum three accessories per sale. To achieve the goal, we’ll focus on four steps of
PSP and also make sure that everyone in the store is following the same plan.
