Nicodemus, a Jewish religious leader and Pharisee, visited Jesus at night to speak with him. Jesus told Nicodemus that he must be born again to see the Kingdom of God. When Nicodemus did not understand, Jesus explained that one must be born of water and the spirit. Jesus further explained that just as Moses lifted up the bronze snake, so the Son of Man must be lifted up so that all who believe in him may have eternal life.

The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go.
