Debbie was diagnosed with
breast cancer in 2009.
After undergoing treatment
and discussions with her
doctors, she realised there
was a lack of diagnostic
equipment in the NHS.

9. Dame Sarah
Storey
Not only a mother but also an ambassador
for disabled sport, Sarah is the most
decorated female Paralympian that Britain
has ever had! She has 140 national titles,
has won an impressive 11 gold medals, and
currently holds 72 world records.
For Boot Out Breast Cancer Sarah
throughout 2014, cycled with a team in
support of Boot Out Breast Cancer and
helped to raise awareness of our mission
and fundraising goals. She also unveiled
the new DigniCap system for the Leighton
NHS Hospital in Crewe.

The Boot Out Breast Cancer Cycling
Club was founded in 2016 by our
patron Dame Sarah Storey after the
success of the Boot Out Breast Cancer
women’s racing teams in 2014 and
2015.
The professional cycling team, Storey
Racing, are still promoting BOBC by
displaying the logo on their kit.
They are also fundraising by selling off
old cycling kit.

Honorary Senior Lecturer in

honoured with a CBE in
recognition of his charity

20. 2020 events – ladies lunch
Ladies Annual Lunch
In 2019 our ladies lunch raised an incredible
£6,000 through donations, tombola sales, car
raffle tickets, and event ticket sales.
2020 is looking to be very promising with our
venue at Rivington Hall Barn and some
incredible entertainment, fabulous raffle
prizes, and sponsorship opportunities.

Boot Out Breast Cancer Annual Ball
2019’s Magic and Moonlight ball raised an amazing
£100,000 through donations, a raffle, silent and live
auction prizes, and pledges. It catapulted our total figure
raised since 2010 to over ONE MILLION POUNDS.
In our 10th year we are preparing for a spectacular
Bollywood Ball with the glitz and glamour of Indian culture.
