Complex and Idiopathic Continence Conditions
2. Welcome
The Continence Foundation of Australia Victoria Branch (CFA Vic Branch) the peak body for bladder and
bowel health in Victoria receives funding from the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services
through the Home and Community Care (HACC) program to provide governance to the Victorian
Continence Resource Centre (VCRC).
The VCRC values and recognises the importance of the most up-to-date research relating to continence
promotion, incontinence prevention and the management and treatment of bladder and bowel issues.
The CFA Vic branch board wish to invite you to attend The 5th State Annual Conference, Friday May 20
2016. The theme for the 2016 conference is Complex and Idiopathic Continence Conditions. The
conference will be held at the RACV Healesville Country Club, located in the heart of Victoria’s premiere
wine region, the Yarra Valley, just over an hour’s drive from Melbourne’s CBD.
The aim of the conference is to up skill the specialist and non-specialist workforce on continence
assessment and management. The program will appeal to continence and pelvic floor physiotherapists,
continence nurse consultants, urological nurse consultants, maternal child health nurses, midwives, the
medical fraternity and other allied health professionals. We anticipate the attendance of approximately
150-200 delegates from both Melbourne and regional Victoria.

Dr Anita Lasocki MBBS(Hons), BMedSci, FACD
Anita is a Consultant Dermatologist at The Royal Women’s Hospital and consults
privately at Bayside Dermatology in Brighton. Anita works within a
multidisciplinary clinic specialising in vulval skin disorders, vulvodynia, skin
conditions in pregnancy, general dermatology and skin cancer management.
Anita enjoys the diversity of dermatology practice and her particular interests are
in early melanoma detection, skin cancer management, women’s and children’s
dermatology, management of excessive sweating, and biological therapies for
psoriasis.
Julienne Moore
Julienne Moore graduated as a physiotherapist from the university of Queensland
in 1996. Since then she has completed a Master’s Degree in Continence and
Women’s Health at the University of Melbourne and currently works at Fitwise
Physiotherapy - a continence and women’s health private practice in Melbourne.
Julienne enjoys managing Pelvic floor issues in men and women including
incontinence and pelvic pain. She is a keen exerciser and enjoys assisting women
to remain active throughout their life and to safely return to exercise after
treatment for pelvic floor dysfunction.
Thea Connor
Thea Connor is a Division 1 Registered Nurse with over 30 years of experience in
the specialist area of neuropathic bladder and bowel management relating to
spinal cord injuries and sexual health. Thea held the role of spinal urology nurse
and sexual health consultant at Austin Health for 14 years. Currently Thea has the
position of urology practice nurse at North Eastern Urology. In this role she has
further developed skills in prostate cancer, urological surgery and female
incontinence. Thea is responsible for conducting urodynamic studies and advising
on the management of erectile dysfunction. Thea is a member of the Victorian
Urology Nurses Society and the Australian Nurses Federation.
4. Invited speakers
Brian Meier BPharm, DipMgt, MPS, AACPA
Brian is a practicing accredited Consultant Pharmacist. In his role as a Consultant
Pharmacist, Brian established his own company in 2011 providing professional
education, training and consultation that reaches a wide variety of health
professionals. He has a particular focus on the review of medications within the
client’s homes and within the Residential Aged Care environment. Brian’s professional
areas of interest include asthma and COPD management, diabetes management, poly-
pharmacy, de-prescribing, aged care, motivational interviewing and optimising
medication use. His current client base extends throughout Melbourne and into
remote Victorian communities.
Professor Thomas Jobling
Prof Jobling leads the Gynaecological Oncology Unit at Monash Medical Centre in
Melbourne. Professor Jobling was instrumental in the establishment of the Ovarian
Cancer Research Foundation a collaboration with Prince Henry's Institute for Medical
Research. The two motivating factors that drove his desire to create the Ovarian
Cancer Research Foundation were his fascination with the biology of the cancer, and
his work as surgeon, where he faces the relentless task of treating women with this
disease. The Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation enables research scientists and
surgeons working with ovarian cancer to work towards a screening test for early
detection of this cancer, and ultimately a complete remission of ovarian cancer.
Victoria Cullen
Victoria Cullen is a professional sex-myth-debunker. She uses her background in
behaviour change design and psychology to reduce the discomfort of ‘the sex chat’
and solve sex-related issues for customers at Passionfruit: a boutique sexuality shop
run by female sex educators with the feel of a luxury hotel lobby. Last year she
launched the Future Sex Studio at RMIT University. This is the first university course in
the world teaching students to design solutions for sexual issues, such as how to
improve dilator training for vaginismus and how an older population can access sex
products designed for their needs.

Cancellations received before May 6 2016 will attract an administration fee of $85. After that date there
